RE: UAB @ UTSA 7:00PM CST
For those that decided that they couldn't watch the game, one of our greatest point guards ever AJ was helping on the bench.

On another note, it was mentioned by the announcers that we are pretty darn good when we score over 60 points.
10-2 at the time, now 11-2.
We do have trouble when we don't score 60.

They are both juniors.

Good win. Improved offense. Butler was a monster for the first two thirds of thr game. Interesting changes in starting lineup. Been wondering when Gueye would be shifted into an off the bench role. Guys who started played hard and shared the ball well. Rebounding was off the charts. Defense solid. We need to see Ralat on the court more often. Need another true perimeter shooter.

Pearson had a couple of good baskets in the 2nd half when we needed them.

New look starters came in with real intensity, and it showed. We won this one in the trenches without 3 point shots. Hoping Butler can stay healthy/solid through the end of the season.
Feels like a totally different team than the one that got dusted last Saturday. Hoping we can continue the upswing.

I’m sorry I watched the game on my phone and wasn’t on blazertalk the whole time. I’ll do better next time. It’s great that this team was able to bounce back here, hopefully this can be the start of a run. Top pod is still within reach.

Which certainly has been the goal the whole time.
Tossing a bad apple aside forced us to attempt to find some good apples.

AJ has been a grad assistant the whole season. Honestly wish they would let him coach a little more than they do but I could tell he was very vocal with the players last night so hopefully that is a sign they are letting him do more during games.

Very glad Butler was able to play. Im thinking the injury vs LaTech was more of scare with how he performed last night. Ive been waiting for Nicholson to get the start over Mak for a while now. He is just down right better than Mak currently which says a lot about Mak. Hopefully something clicks and clicks soon for him. Ralat has been getting better each day he is with the team. Really wish we could keep him for another year

We just have several on the team that you just don't know about from game to game.
Ehsan did a pretty good job of having the correct mix out there most of the game.
Ralat & Benjamin on the court at the same time helped out our offense.
Brinson had some very good minutes especially on the defensive side.
Kasim seems to be the more consistent player out of those at his position.
We need TSG to step up offensively and we certainly need Gueye to toughen up some.
Pearson needs to settle down a little but his effort is certainly there.
Lovan is underappreciated. What he has done without having any type outside shot as of yet is amazing.

Agree on all sides, especially about Ralat and Benjamin being on the court together. Benjamin is undersized for a 2-guard, but he is better as a shooter than a typical court-manager point guard. Ralat fills that role well.
