That was quite a game. A thriller. This team is exciting to watch.

1). There are no seniors on this year's team,
2). EMU has TWO impact transfers sitting out, Abiola and Skanes. Both were very successful at their previous universities before transterring. Abiola is sitting out injured and Skanes is a transfer sitout.

Our last FB/BB champion was 2011/12 WBB. The next champion will be WBB and it could be 2020/21.
I want to <bump> this post.
We have a couple of potential stars, Combs and Stanley, and are couple of impact players sitting out.
We are playing very good ball within conference, even though we have a few tough losses, but this team is really built for 2020/21.
I have my "Sunshine Steve Shades" on today.
As this chart shows, today, in D.C. the historical high is one degree higher than yesterday. This begins the slow warming trend.

Game tickets are $17 yes that's right for a women's game it's $17. At UofM they're $3. Pop bag of chip and hotdogs is $16 a UofM.

We can't get fans to come watch this team play at home, there's no way they're going to travel to the Glass City.

What a fantastic win tonight!
Areanna Combs is LEGIT!
Every player who got in the game scored a point. Our depth was evident, as we were down Stanley AND had both Combs and Cardwell fouled out...and we still pull out a double-digit victory.
Hopefully this is a springboard to winning the big ones in our future!

We spend alot of time of putting CC and Murphy records under the microscope. As we know under Merchant, Gilbert and Tony the Tiger we had some post season expectations.
This is Castro's 4th year and he is 10-9 and could finish strong.
His three previous seasons:
14-17 6-12 conference
11-20 6-12 conference
6-25 1-17 conference

Not really surprising.
Castro has been accumulating transfer talent at a good clip.
As I have posted, he has TWO very good transfers sitting out this year, one medical and one the transfer sitout year.
This year's team got lot better when Combs became eligible.

Last year we had 4 true fresh women one senior. No seniors this and an excellent core of sophomores.

Castro inherited a bad situation.
Verde unexpectedly left (and shocked a lot of people). Players were upset. And they wanted the asst coach who recruited them (forgot her name) to be the new HC.
When they "didn't get their way" several key cogs transferred leaving the cupboard pretty barren of talent. EDIT: Think they were Morton and Sweeney.
That is why Castro had to do an entire rebuild, not reload.
Actually Castro has done an UNDERRATED job of building the team back up. We'll see if in full force NEXT season.
That is a prediction.

Let me put my 'shades' on but 2020 (2020/21) could be a very good year for FB, WBB and maybe MBB.
I think both FB and WBB will be much better than outsiders expect.

Jebus! Throw in some commas! Pop, bag of chips, and a hotdog are only $16 at U of M.

An insightful analysis to say the least. Castro was a universally unpopular hire who inherited a challenging situation that did indeed require a total rebuild. Steve I second your evaluation of his performance as UNDERRATED.
