You are correct any way you word it. The current format started with the 2015-16 MACT.

Huskies need to win 6 of the remaining 10 to get there.

Been trying to buy an extra ticket next to my season seats for Saturday’s game all day and never answered or returned my call. When I finally got ahold of somebody they said I’d have to call back another day because the people who handle the ticket sales are spending the whole day in a meeting preparing for the Harlem globetrotters game. I swear sometimes this school is the BIGGEST F*cking joke ever

I get eliminating divisions but I have no idea what you mean by if it’s reflected on schedule?

Anybody know why we’ve only had cheerleaders attend one men’s game? Also it’s so embarrassing when there’s like only four silverettes at the games. Does anyone know why we got rid of that great montage to start the basketball games? The one with Kenny Battles 360 dunk. They played the music but no video. That video is one of the only traditional things we have and it was awesome please bring it back.

The divisions have zero effect on seeding, meaning they’ve pretty much much eliminated them but the scheduling currently doesn’t reflect that as they play all division teams twice

If you are going to have divisions, I really liked the old format of the top seed getting no worse than a 2 seed. It is good for divisional races, good for rivalries. It was a complete overreaction to the dominance of the East.

I do worry this could be one of those rare years where an 11 win team has to be a 5 seed. It will be close though. The thing I like about the Huskies right now, they may not lose that tiebreaker if they were an 11 win team and you had multiple teams in a tiebreaker scenario. Going 1-0 against UB, 1-0 against Kent might end up being huge. That is why I think that Kent game is so big, you go 3-0 vs the Kent/UB combo, that could really work out nice for possible tiebreaks. I just get the sense NIUs game vs Kent at home will go a long way in telling us if NIU is a serious threat in this conference this year

A Huskie win Saturday and it will take a major collapse for them not to finish as the 8 th seed or higher.

I’d agree with this. If you have divisions the winners get 1-2

Seems to me it is a big deal, but apparently that is just me. Me and that guy down on the band end of floor with the dry erase board marking off the final points Gino needs to become the ALL-TIME NIU point scorer in the long history of NIU basketball! Wow!
