Nikki has the guards to compete against top P5 teams. Now she is focusing on getting 4/5 players that can do the same. She is doing a fantastic job.

Does anyone know what happened to our recruiting efforts for Aaliyah Pitts from Woodbridge High School? I thought Coach McCray went hard for her; she also visited ODU and was hoping it was close to a done deal. I recently noticed she reclassified for 2020 and now plays for Bishop McNamara H. S. in Maryland. I recall UVA coming in real late in the recruiting period with an offer as well. It further surprises me that she is unsigned. She can really ball so I'd say let's go after her again, unless of course, there were some bad blood spilled... Someone, please throw that question at Coach McCray during her weekly(?) show with Doug Ripley! It very well may be out of bounds for her to comment, but inquiry minds would sure like to know...

She won't be able to answer questions about unsigned recruits in an official capacity (like the weekly coaches show). That would have to be asked in person.

With Jordan Bailey’s departure, is there a scholarship available to fill for next year? Or Is it taken by Maggie, who will return next season?

Maggie Robinson is already on scholarship but yes, Bailey's departure opens up an extra "ship.

My opinion, she needs to drop a few pounds...but reminds me of Nyree Roberts before she dropped weight and became a beast in the middle

Class of 2021, and currently 6'-1".
Maybe another inch or so growth in height by the time she enrolls next year?
I like her toughness, should force opponents to respect our inside game, helping create decent outside shot opportunities for our guards.

If she’s anywhere close to being as good as Nyree, ODU has a star. Nyree was one of the best inside players ever here. Amhyia certainly has something to aspire to. Welcome aboard.

With all the pandemic issues captivating our lives over the last few months, looks like the WBB program has been working hard and this one slipped past us. Coach DeLisha Milton-Jones offered 2021 Alex Rouse, a 5'-8" SG from Joe T. Robinson HS in Arkansas. Looks like her school is in the same division/conference(?) as Mariah Adams' old HS, eStem.
