Why does Robert Morris get a seat? They've got as much representation as the Big 12 and ACC!
Wyoming AD is a Robert Morris grad replacing the Robert Morris president.

It's nothing more than a sharing of the spoils among a small club of people. It was bad enough when Rice got her perks.

One of the other new members, John Urschel, is a 28-year-old Canadian native who played 3 years in the NFL and is now a grad student at MIT. He's almost 20 years younger than the next-youngest committee member, and almost 50 years younger than the oldest committee member.

There really shouldn't be a committee in the first place, but it seems the formula should be pretty simple.
- One active AD from each of the Power 5
- One person with a significant administrative background from each of the Power 5
- One former coach from each of the Power 5
- Five former players, regardless of affiliation, who spent at least 4 years at the FBS level
- One active AD, one administrator, and one former coach from the G5 level.
That's 23 members and basically every potential interest is represented.

The Big 10 and Pac 12 have historically been over-represented (ties in with JR's comments about a little club). Big 12 and ACC ADs have often had previous experience with Big 10 and Pac 12 schools.
Hasn't really helped the Pac 12.
I remember the Big 12 complaining when Archie Manning left that nobody left on the committee but the one Big 12 AD knew anything about the Big 12.
