So I haven’t read the rules or anything but the double elimination kicks in for a slaughter rule? Like if too many go down in one round? And will that cut off after so many rounds or so many contestants remaining?

Yes; >40%; applies to only the first four weeks ....

9. If everyone loses the same week, then those still in the contest will continue to the next week. Also, if during any of the first four weekends of conference play (ending with the Jan. 24-26 weekend games) 40% or more of the contestant pool is eliminated, then the contest will immediate convert for those remaining (but not for those previously eliminated) to double elimination.

We will very likely be losing some contestants today - - UNLESS FIU loses to MTSU, and this contest converts to double elimination per the >40% anti-bloodbath rule. The casualty list will be reported tomorrow.

FIU won. But they were the only selection to win.

7 out of 12 losers translates to 59%. We move onto double elimination. I will have the updated color chart posted tomorrow.
