I saw your response. Surely you could have come up with a more clever insult than monkey brained fool?

When I first saw you post I was reminded of that character in the village people considering you are in midtown. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Don't know why only you are getting picked on, HHT. Just look at the posts right after yours, almost all were agreeing with you.

It was dumb, but you were hardly the only dumb one.

It's because they agreed with me at that point. Until we came back and won.

Thanks for your input.

However, if he bet for Cincy to cover he won.

You just don't get it Hernando. The insinuation about betting is totally out of line - even if you were kidding.

I take it back. The comment on him quitting on his team and Memphis is just as bad.

I've been following the team for over 45 Years. I've been through a lot with the Tigers. Also a grad. I think I have earned my opinion and I stick by it.

I still don't know why we continued to try to run inside when it clearly was not working. Especially that draw play. Also Brady was clearly affected by the Norvell decision in the first half. He should have waited until after the regular season if he was committed to the team and to Memphis.

Just my opinion. Yours may vary.

What? We wish you would!?!

He didn't quit on the team. It was obvious from the WIN that he didn't and the players didn't either. Only by the most moronic terms do you define anything that happened as his quitting on the team. If you apply that definition, every player and coach has quit on the team. Which hopefully shows just how stupid you have to be to say something that ridiculous.

The fact that you have to root around to find a thread like this shows just how weak your point really is.

I'm curious why such a long time fan like HHT missed the opportunity to see the most important home game we have ever played? Obviously, you were not at the LB that day.

RE: Norvell quit on his players and on Memphis
I'm not sure what your excuse will be, but i'm betting a lot of tiger fans/bandwagon fans/followers skipped the game, because they wanted to watch the sec championship game live on tv as well as watching all the other power conference football that day.

I didn't really worry about 36,000 coming to the first game against cincy which determined us winning the west again and also gaining home field advantage. I understand it was a holiday weekend.

But only 33,000 fans coming the next weekend (and the weather was nicer) for our first conference championship game being hosted at home is pathetic. We should have broken the AAC championship game attendance record. There was no excuse for not doing it.

Memphis fans really missed a huge opportunity to help our program's image.

Maybe espn college game day has more g5 followers that anyone realizes. That smu game was so important but winning the school's first conference championship game at home was more important. Does it take espn game day to make fans fill up the LB ?

Apparently, just coming to the biggest game in our school history is not enough.

Memphis, the Group of Five automatic qualifier, was in a major bowl for the first time in the Cotton Bowl. Its game against Penn State drew only 54,828 fans in AT&T Stadium, the smallest Cotton Bowl crowd in 31 years. That's a drop of approximately 17,000 from the previous year's Cotton Bowl, which drew 72,183 for a CFP semifinal matchup between Clemson and Notre Dame.

That drop wasn't on us, we brought lots more fans than PSU - likely 17K+ more.

Yeah, for the first time ever, I actually clicked on his twitter account and said he needs to detail that some. He makes it sound like it is because of Memphis and the G5 that caused the drop in fans when Memphis brought tons of fans. Memphis kinda took over Dallas.

Apparently you weren’t at the Championship Game, there were many more than 33,000 that attended.

Doesn’t matter what was reported, with poor number counts by LBMS & the fiasco on Normal street with ticket problems, this certainly should not be a surprise for anyone. Numerous problems with ticket scanners had large groups of fans walking in due to large crowds growing impatient for lines being held up.

Never trust the true number count at LBMS, completely inept and our ticket office needs a complete overhaul.
