You realize some teams have scored well over 100 and combos of like 64 and 25, right? Kentucky once scored 86 in the first half against LSU and just 43 in the second.

Back around 1998 during the Steve Robinson error, FSU went (or nearly went) the whole first half without a FG against GT.

The other weird part about that FGCU-Kennesaw State game was that, even after that woeful first half, they only just missed the Vegas total. So, it kinda went the way Vegas thought it might...?

My memory is horrendous. The 86-43 differential for UK ... wow.

37 points is high but just looking this week several games with over 25 point differences by half. Coppin St this week had 13/41 points for 28 point difference.

wow I just looked at the ESPN scoreboard. Pitt is beating UNC right now 26-10. OMG.

#3 Duke lost at home to #11 Louisville

#5 Butler lost to DePaul (DePaul's first conference win)

And three that are probably only mild upsets, given that the winning teams were at home and are good though not ranked.

#4 Auburn lost to Florida

#20 Colorado lost to Arizona

#21 Ohio State lost to Penn State

Good question. Roy seems like a likable man. For example, he's always gracious in defeat and seems genuinely so. But the scandal of a few years ago and the drop in the talent level... The last two seasons were so-so by UNC standards. This year, and without Anthony... gruesome.

Roy is 69. You do have to wonder.

Roy Williams did say on a radio show UNC should fire him.

Evansville falls to 0-6 today.

Kennesaw State saw its seventh game of the season where it scored 20 or less points in the first half.

Looks like a lot of parity in the AAC. The top teams better know not to drop some on the road. Stunned by the drop Wichita saw in NET. Just because it lost to Houston, or is further damage from Temple and West Virginia also losing?

I'm not sure Roy wants to leave but it's a valid question you ask.

But to give the man his due, he will say if he does leave (and honestly and frankly so) that he is to blame for the slippage the last few years. Roy has his flaws (we all do). I don't find his "aw shucks/dadgum" communication style appealing, for example. But he is not insecure. He will criticize himself and is sincere about given opponents credit. John Calipari (for all his flaws) is similar. I respect Roy for that.

Admittedly, I'm a UNC homer.
