This is a good observation. It hasn’t played out this way in other games, but Drexel really pushed the pace and got a ton of fast break points. But part of it is just how hot Drexel shot the ball today.

Does any other arena in conference have hanging baskets?

1-1 road trip isn't the worst result and having played 5/9 road conference games is a relief. Definitely worried about how poorly VV has looked the past couple of weeks - we absolutely need him as that 2nd dominant 15+ point scorer game in and out for us.

A blowout loss is better than a close one to me here - it tells the team that they can't sleepwalk into a game against any team and expect to get an easy win. Definitely got beat on all of the 50/50 balls and were outhustled much of the game.

Drexel closed out the half making 9 of their last 11 shots. Story of the game.

Bench with a grand total of 2 points (Harvey), 2 rebounds in 60 minutes. That's bad.

This shows us the Knight show does not win it as the team was 11-37 without him shooting. Only 2 bench points as nobody stepped up and we really miss Barnes. Knight missed double double with 28 pts and 9 REB

I believe most have expected a game like this somewhere along the way, especially on the road.

Big thing right now is for the team to forget about this rare clunker and come back strong with four consecutive home
games coming up And get Barnes back healthy.

We made 8 TO's (not bad), but Drexel turned them into 18 points.
Drexel turned the ball over 9 times, but we got only 7 points off those TO's. Just a day of missed opportunities.
Other than Stanford, where we were just out-talented, the poorest performance of the season.

Two straight games of basically 40% shooting. Third straight game with Andy in a funk. Need to get both straightened out.

Definitely wasnt expected. As far as the Walton comments...He was expected to play a big part of our team last year then got hurt and was supposed to be a big part this year and has been very up and down. Some games he looks great, others you wonder why he is out there. Recently he has more harm than good, today he was good. Not even his best game of the season. That was against Bryant when he went 12-17 and 6-9 from 3 for 32 points with 3 steals and 3 assists. Also had games of 19 and 21 in the OOC as well as a double double against Elon on Thursday (16 points and 11 boards). He is just streaky.

Stretch of 4 straight home games upcoming. Definitely need to take both next week against JMU and Towson and at worst split between Hofstra and Northeastern

Wonder if any team will ever go 18-0 in this conference. Thought we had an outside chance at it, but figured we would play a bad game sooner or later. Guess we’ll have to settle for 17-1.

This game is a combo of us not being able to make shots and Drexel being able to make everything. We are going to run into games where teams have hot shooting games (whether there is good defense or not) and we need to be able to efficiently score on offense to counter it.

We definitely need Barnes back. Although I think he hasn't played great this year (for the talent he has), not having him really messed with our rotations and minutes. We just have zero guard depth outside of Ayesa, who is solely a spot shooter.

If we can go 14-4, I would be thrilled. Definitely tough games left with NE and Hofstra at home and @Charleston and @Towson. Just need to take it 1 game at a time and get others involved instead of just hoping Knight can carry the team to a W

Highlighting this aspect was the last two seconds of the game. Jihar Williams on a fast break which should be an easy meaningless dunk or layup. However, inexplicably, the Drexel player fouls him. Even more inexplicably, the ref actually calls the foul. Then Jihar wastes his opportunity to get on the points board by missing both foul shots (and thereby messing with our overall free throw percentage, too).

A game like that, all you can do is turn the page and wait for the next one.

Yep, just turn the page on this one. We are a lot better than we played today. Need a fully healthy team. Need to stay focused. Need to get home.

4-1 through 5 road games in conference is short of amazing with what we had going into the year. We will have a nice 2 week homestand to relax and not have to worry about the many miles the team has traveled this year
