What is surprising is to read the responses of recruits who replied to the message, from Vegas to Florida, kids from Memphis, Class of 21 and 22, all sending clips trying to get the staffs attention. Who would have thought that even when Fuente left?

It seemed not that long ago that Larry Porter couldn't even get the team to line up to take a snap properly and high school games routinely had more fans in the stands than the Tigers. I'm pretty sure NO ONE was trying to reach out to the Tigers then. We've gone from chumps to champs and it's been a great ride as a fan. I think Silverfield is in a good position to continue this.

Adding to the above, folks on social media/message boards mentioning Memphis as a quality opponent on future/potential schedules...different perception from those days.

RE: Love this from Ryan Silverfield
interesting to see coaches at schools with excellent football programs inviting Coach to take a visit and see his players. Making connections like that is amazing and sure to payoff. I saw a player from Arlington Martin here in the DFW area make a comment. Martin is one of the best football schools in the state. Make that trip and then go by Duncanville and Cedar Hill Highs while there. Seems like there may be a few diamonds in the rough out there that are interested but were not on our radar until now.

yep, it was illegal formations. They called the illegal formation, then they lined up the exact same way again and got penalized twice. Ref had to explain to Porter why it was illegal.

first two plays from scrimmage of the entire season. He had the whole offseason to prepare and blows it on his very first attempt.
