If our fate is tied to Dandridge, we're in trouble. He's not going to be anywhere near dominant this year. I like him starting and getting plenty of minutes, but anything he gives us should be considered gravy.

Dorsey was not dominate at all. But the difference with him out of the game was huge. We dont need Malcolm to be dominate. We need him to make things much easier on his teammates. Get the rebound, seal off defenders, set screens and picks, etc.

RE: Our Fate Is Tied To Dandridge
A lot of big big abnormally big dudes have spent most of their young lives trying not to get in people's way, trying not to bump into them, trying to avoid human contact so as not to hurt them..as much as possible.

Suddenly they are put in a situation where they are supposed to bang on folks.

What do y'all think?

It's just an idea I've had after watching the Big Dudes try to be small.... in real life.

I would think Malcolm has been taught to pound on folks since he has started sports.

I think he is in the opposite situation now...He is now being asked to be agile on defense and guard little guys that is why he is now struggling.

On offense if they give him the opportunity I think he could excel in the post...To the point that other teams will need to help to guard him.

No way I think MD sets the ceiling for this team. I think that will be set by guard play. We need 2 of the freshmen guards to take their games to the next level. LQ has gotten the closest so far.

We should easily be a Final Four team without anyone in the lane on many of our possessions.

Don't be obtuse. If a freshman center who will be lucky to average 5 and 5 is going to set our fate, then it's a shallow roster.

This is way over your head, don't worry about it.

Right now, our opponents are guarding Precious 18' from the basket and really don't have to guard Thomas or Maurice at all. This clogs up everything for all of our other players on the perimeter. IF we at least have one player who is always in the lane, who is somewhat of a threat to score and who can pick up rebounds, it will make a big difference for everyone.

5 points and 5 rebounds or whatever it ends up being doesn't tell the whole story. Dorsey averaged 6.9 and 7.5 his sophomore season. Just having him occupying space at both ends made a huge difference.

Here’s the thing about Malco-look at his shoulders. The dude can carry more weight if they decide they want him to. When/if he realizes his NBA dream he might end up at 265 or 270.

By losing, if you mean that a dozen posters either agree with me or somewhat agree with me, and at least get the point, then you are right. Around half that number disagree; with some of them reasoning that he isn't going to be able to perform at a high level.

Like I said, you're not bright enough to keep up, so don't worry about it.

That last drive by Dandridge is what I'm talking about. Ge is going to start making those, but even if he doesn't, it opens everything else up for everyone else.

He also came down with a grown man's rebound a minute before that.

4 assists, 4 steals, 7 rebounds and the first time I've seen him show close to the same bounce as he did in high school.

Props to you Stammers. I thought you were crazy with this post but watching him impact the game tonight in so many areas, I see what you see now.
