The fundraising for football salaries started when they knew they were going to have to find a new football coach. Basketball salary fundraising has begun...

Wood has stated he wants our salaries for football and basketball to among the top of CUSA for head coach and the assistant pool. Both of these fundraising goals go toward that.

Sounds like some possible leverage. JJ goes, then the contributions begin?

I do. Every year for the past 15+ years, but haven't seen that specific letter. I got one recently about "monthly payment plans" for giving levels, but under the "I would like my gift to support" button the only option is "unrestricted". Perhaps I don't give to the level required to get "the letter". Either way, a legit answer to the question would have been appreciated.

Sure as hell hope no one in the Athletic Dept wants to make JJ anywhere close to the being one of the highest paid BB coaches in CUSA.

Have no issue with us paying a competitive salary but not JJ and this crap product hes putting on the floor. No thanks.

I'm considering moving up the $500 annual donation level. Does the white lot allow charcoal grills? What are the perks associated with Big Blue Room?

I've got my grill answer....

Grills are permitted in University surface lots and restricted areas of Kaufman Mall only and must be elevated at least one foot above the parking surface so that heat does not cause damage to the asphalt. Coals from charcoal grills must be disposed in marked fire retardant receptacles on campus. Open pit fires are prohibited. Gas grills are restricted to 10 gallon propane tanks per vehicle.

You're gonna like the white lot. It opens an hour earlier than the others. Get there early and you can get a spot with grass for the tent, Cornhole, whatever.

But if you like to visit friend's tailgate spots, bring a bike.

The white lot is sooooo far away though. Especially if going with kids or elderly people.

After getting into using a smoker in the past few weeks, bringing a smoker to the tailgate makes a ton more sense than grill.

I liked the white lot last season. Lot's of space, not as crowded as blue (though some may see that as a negative).

Fair point about the kids and elderly. I know there is a shuttle that takes fans from the Monarch Village tailgating lot to the stadium.

I'm not sure since I'm in the blue lot. But I would imagine the shuttle would pick up at the white lot too. Might be worth looking into if you are in there with kids and/or elderly friends and family.

I would use the money to get a complete new staff, with somebody with the ability to recruit higher level players, and of course have good coaching experience.

Which CUSA coaches have had more success than JJ?

There are plenty of threads on here where you can discuss firing JJ. No need to make this one.
