STR Georgia...
is giving Calsucky all they can handle. Interesting to watch how KY defends the three though. IF Georgia should win I wonder how far KY will drop.

If Georgia wins we should move up 8 spots on principle.

At the least it might lessen the impact of that loss moving forward. KY has traveled several times tonight and the refs have swallowed their whistles.

One of the Georgia players just flashed the so called white power sign, lol.

Maybe Georgia isn't the scrub team many here accuse them of being, they're playing KY tough. It remains to be seen if they can keep it up for a whole 40 minutes.

Rut roh, Georgia up by 6 at the half. Out rebounding KY 24-17. They've taken 14 FT for 8 points to KY's 3 for 1 point. THAT has to chap Cal's ass.

If KY loses to GA, they will probably only drop 2 spots

Right out of the gate the refs have decided Georgia isn't going to win this one, a foul on Edwards that was ALL ball.

Watching Edwards play against us and now against UK makes me want to sulk over what could have been. That JW/Edwards match up would have been an absolute show.

Because they will rank UGA to make a UK loss more acceptable.

On the other hand if UGA beat Uk right after beating us, shouldnt they be ranked?

They only received one vote after beating us. One. Double check me on that though.

And Georgia folded like a rented suit in the second half. Damnit, I was hoping they'd spank those cats. Gotta give KY credit as bad as I hate to, they turned it on in the second half.

Yeah, beating us it is easy to say well Memphis was missing a player and had an off night... if they beat us and then turned around and beat KY, then it isnt as easy to write off.

RE: STR Georgia...
I watched a lot of college hoops tonight and I have to say a lot of teams make us look like just what we are, a squad of youngsters not far enough removed from AAU ball with a coach not far enough removed from high school ball. We have a ton of undeveloped talent that just needs time to grow up.

I agree, but I also disagree.

I dont think there is a coach in the country that could have already taught them any better. They might be taught different things, but either way they would all still be struggling in their own ways.

If K had this exact same team, this was HIS team, not much would be different. They would still be turning the ball over, missing free throws, missing the open man, not rotating properly.

Hopefully by March they will have most of it figured out.

I don't disagree with that at all. To be fair not many of the teams I watched tonight were loaded up with freshmen who are playing college ball together for the first time.

I wasn't suggesting that Penny isn't doing his job although I can see how it might have sounded that way. I just think they are ALL young and need time to develop their chops, from the HC on down. I think conference play will help them develop a lot.

I had a bad feeling when Georgia was jersey popping at half-time because they were up by 6.
