He has played in every game...
Even Maurice had a DNP one game.
And Boyce had a few DNP as well.
The coaches need to figure out how to use those big bodies we have on the bench.

Yep and this is why I find it hard to watch anymore.. I don’t like the NBA because 90% of the game is one on one play.. The college game has gone that way also.. Look I love Penny but I fully expected him as a Coach to play like the NBA does.. What kind of play is it when you have 3 guys run around out top handing it off to each other in a semi circle.. The only play I ever see us run is the pick and roll at the 3 point line, everything else is the guy with the ball trying to beat his man off the dribble which seems to be 90% of BB anymore..To me whoever or whichever teams can play the best defense, guards that can guard against the one on one play are gonna win most of the time!!

No question. Memphis should be 14-0, should run the Princeton offense and run the picket fence a few times. They players have shown they are only good when playing inferior competition, otherwise they’d go undefeated and win the National Championship.
Yesterday proved to one and all that the sky is falling. Penny can’t coach, the players are overrated, the NCAA is coming for us, we won’t get any recruits, it’s over. Time to shut down the program.
Geez. Take a chill pill. There is a lot of season left. Try to enjoy it.

D.J. did the right thing, the Dude had the flu, was wearing white,
Sharts happen. A serious Shart could of brought in the haz mat squad, closed the arena for a couple hrs during
Clean up process, possibly evacuation, I mean the arena.
D.J. did the right thing, the flu can mess u up.

Has it actually been verified that he had the flu or did someone on the radio or something say something that might be something to do with something that could be flu related?
I listened to the postgame show and Penny said something basically like, when he got to warmups he said he wasnt feeling well, and before the game he said he couldnt go..
I am pretty sure he wasnt seen and treated by a doctor before tipoff.
Could have been a bad stomach or any other possible reason. Flu just became the goto.
RE: ***Official Memphis vs Georgia Game Thread*** (1/4)
This was a disappointing loss, but just to state the obvious:
Generally a coach with 20 years' experience is going to have a pretty fair chance against a coach with less than 2.
Generally a team of freshmen is going to make more mental mistakes than a team with more upperclassmen.
Generally a team is going to have better results with their second best player than without him.
But I do agree, three-point defense has been our Achilles Heel all season and doesn't seem to be getting better. Fight through a pick once in a while so their shooters don't know exactly which player they have to beat.

I especially don't like how we switch defenders instead of fighting through screens. Teams take advantage of that by passing the ball around until they get the right matchup. The more talented the team (thank goodness we dont see many), the more they will be able to take advantage of it. Then we end up with Lance Thomas out on the 3 line trying to defend a guard, while our guard is under the basket trying to defend their big man.
RE: ***Official Memphis vs Georgia Game Thread*** (1/4)
Lance needs to be told that he's 6'9" tall and can watch the game fine from the bench instead of from the freeking 3 point line.
Also ... the split second a guard drives the hoop, the player whose man leaves them to cover the hoop should be right behind said guard for a pass or follow ... We seem to just watch.
We definitely missed DJ ... But someone needs to get to Lance ... he sure blew a BIG chance to shine !! And our Big Coach ... Whoever that may be ... Is dropping the ball !!!

Yeah ... We get beat alot on those switches. And that zone we go to collapses with a few passes around the perimeter. At least it did yesterday. And Lance can't get to guards quick enough !!! Same with Maurice and Dandridge. We're fresh out of mobile 7 footers !!!

ESPN reported "Illness" during the game broadcast.

Exactly. Great programs are getting beat by not-great programs. The Georgia game was very winnable, yes, but we lost. Happens.
