Rockets scored 37 points in the 4th. Unfortunately, they gave up 33.

Santucci and to a lesser extent Wiard were the only 2 Rockets who seemed to show up today.

Santucci 20 points 11 boards 2 assists, although she also had 5 turnovers. Also 2-2 from three. Led the Rockets in every single category except blocks.
Wiard with 12 points, and 6-6 from the line.
Everyone else ... meh.

RPIs for the two teams are similar so I expected a competitive game. Rockets started out behind 9-2 and never was that close the remainder of the way. Western is expected to be a middle of the MAC team. They have three big time offensive threats and play really aggressive defensively which caused the Rockets major problems. Two of Westerns top scorers are bigs and they play together most of the game. So why don't we match them with Whitaker and Beacham. Instead we had Rokannen out there for 26 minutes and #24 was eating her lunch. And Rokkanen did not score so its not like she was a hot hand which prevented taking her out. Rockets seriously over matched today.

One thing I've noticed so far is that the Rockets have a lethal full court press. I have not seen a team yet which is not bothered by it. When they put Santucci, Black, Davis, and Lockett out together they are a force to be reckoned with. Don't understand why Cullop doesn't use the press intermittently during games and not only when in desperation mode.

Buffalo is next on the schedule. From what I have seen on ESPN+ Buffalo is the class of the MAC. And that was without Summer Hemphill playing in the early season. Will be interesting to see if the Rockets can stay with them.

RPI projection is 6-12 in the league and 11-18 overall.

So next year is going to be a telling year apparently for all the revenue sports.

2019-2020 shaping up to be rather lackluster all around.
