We don't have anyone near double figures. 11 minutes left.

11 steals for the Hawks' and 13 fast break points to 3 for Towson. Love, love, love this press.
Even though we aren't big, our guards can get up which is why we lead the CAA in blocked shots.

Boggs with a huge three to tie.
With his ability to score and his ability to play at the top of the press at 6'7", he is a huge asset.

Sims needs to get his game together. Chance to take a lead and he takes a quick contested three for no reason.

Linssen is solid. Most consistent player this season.

We actually look better on offense with Linssen out, because we don't stand at the 3 and try to post him every play. Excellent movement for the first time tonight and we go up 3.

Boggs needs to come in for Sims and Dodd for Linssen.. He can't hit the broad side of a barn. Linssen and Sims come in for Boggs and Dodd and a 3 point lead becomes a 6 point deficit in less than 3 minutes.

He single handily kept us in the JMU game when he was making the contested shots. Towson is much more physical than the JMU bigs.

Love Linssen, but we look better with Dodd and Boggs tonight

Shykeim has looked like a true PG tonight. If he keeps on being confident in his shooting he can elevate his game so much.

Gotta' have points down 3 with 20 seconds left. Our play? Contested three by Gadsden. Why?

Courtside strategy has not been our strong suit in recent years...

RE: JMU (Thursday - 6:30); Towson (Saturday - 7 PM)
Tonight, our best lineup was Phillips, Okauru, Gadsden, Boggs, Dodd. I really like Linssen, but our offense becomes way too stagnant when we keep pushing the ball in the post to him every single play. When he went out in the 2nd. half, our offensive movement looked so much better than it has all year. We made a huge run with that lineup, but of course McGrath subs eveyone out during a run and we give up a 9-0 run and never get it back.
We've pretty much played the bottom half of the CAA, except Elon, and we are 0-4 and have a 9 game losing streak. Close but no cigar again. Towson get their first win.

The only bright spot in Seahawk basketball is our press 2.5 years too late.
We get 13 steals and cause 17 TO's.

If this was McGrath’s first season there would be reason for optimism with this game. Losing this one in year 3 and starting CAA play 0-4 is unacceptable. We should not be “rebuilding” in year 3 of a coaching staff, no matter what amount of talent Keatts left. Heck, McGrath’s best year was his first year with what was left from the previous regime.

The problem is he is a slow learner. It took him this long to figure out we needed to press. He now needs to figure out that posting Linssen and trying to get it to him every play is just bad offense. Our guys all stand around with no cuts or picks when we do that and we don't get good looks from 3. It's so obvious, but that means it will take McGrath until sometime next season to figure it out.

McGrath sounds and looks absolutely defeated in his postgame chat with Mike V. Pressure finally seems to be catching up. No surprise he has gone with a press the last couple of games and finally tried to change things up.

I honestly do not think the team practices end of game situations. We got lucky against Campbell with one of their best free throw shooters missing the front end of a one and one but against Cleveland State, Drexel, JMU, and again tonight the team has no idea what it’s doing when down one possession so we either fire up a contested shot (i.e. tonight), or can’t inbound the ball thus resulting in a 5 second call without us getting a shot up (Cleveland State), or going 3 minutes of completely Helter Skelter basketball (Drexel) where we shoot terrible shots.

Entertaining game. Hawks press looked good and it was good to see Ty out there. Sanders and Fobbs were enough. Must be nice to have senior leaders like them. Rebounding was the difference tonight. Effort was there tonight with a lot of steals and deflections.
