***Official TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl thread***
What a great day for a bowl game in Birmingham 03-nutkick

BIRMINGHAM BOWL: If you plan on attending the Birmingham Bowl game held at Legion Field this afternoon, you will definitely want to grab a poncho. You will also need to have ways to receive weather updates in case warnings are issued. I am not expecting a lot of lightning today, but there’s a chance we could see some lightning towards the end of the game. Weather delays will be possible. Plan accordingly, and try to be safe.

And from another channel - FOOTBALL WEATHER: For the Birmingham Bowl today (Cincinnati vs Boston College; 2p CT kickoff), the sky will be cloudy with rain likely throughout the game. Some thunder is possible, but not especially likely. Temperatures will hover in the 58-62 degree range.

They are expecting 2-4 inches of rain today and possible (likely) flooding.

Hand off to Warren and Doaks all day long and run it down their sorry ACC Cliff Claven throats.

Remember the game against Miami U. from last year. It was a monsoon, and UC had 51 rushing attempts vs. 11 pass attempts. Warren carried the ball 29 times and Des added 18 carries.

I did Birmingham Bowl in the rain when we played Auburn in 2015. What a crappy experience. That was the worst dump I've ever been in until I went to our game at UL-Monroe this year. Their suites were literally raised portables...

the visitors side was high school'esq. chain link fence surround, 3 CMU buildings (womens tlt, concession, men's tlt). one pizza guy on a card table under a pop up tent. crushed rock under aluminum bleachers. no aisles anywhere, they just stuck on a hand rail and pained a red walking path over the bench seating. bless their hearts.

Legion Field has a rich tradition & is modern, with well equipped fan concessions & services. The restrooms are a real treat & enough can't be said for the parking. Just a wonderful venue..................and if you believe that, send me $100 and I'll 100% guarantee a weather forecast for yesterday for whatever location you choose.

Went to an Olympic soccer game in Birmingham in 1996. It was a dump then. Can't believe it is still standing. I guess it won't be after this year

According to a tweet a few minutes ago there is lightning in the area and the field has been cleared.

I'm guessing there was no need to clear the seats, or they just told the few hundred brave souls that are there.

I was at the Birmingham Bowl last year, and I think the term "creative" might be a better way to describe the men's room. There were about 50 urinals in there.... and 2 sinks.
