The Blue Raiders started the season with no depth in the front court due to injuries. However, forwards Spencer and Milner are back and playing their way back into rotation. MTSU was picked 8th pre-season CUSA. Antonio Green was pre-season all-CUSA and is among the NCAA career leaders for made 3s. This season 100/153 FG attempts have been 3s.

So they have only beaten one D1 school.

Another reason why JJ gets so much credit. Most of his wins were not against challenging teams. The C-USA is a good example. An easy 14 team conference, especially this year.

Ain't that the truth. We could wind up going 14-4 in this craphole of a conference this year and half this board will be calling for a lifetime contract for the "accomplishment".

We owe MTSU so many beat down. They took us out of making the NCAAs a few times.

MTSU's stats are skewed by the 3 non-D1s they played
against all comps their defense is last in the league at 76.6 pts allowed per game
vs D1s, the defense worsens to 81.6 ppg

in scoring offense they are #7 in CUSA AT 73.4 PPG (ODU is 14th at 62.2 ppg)
MTSU in D1 games only drops to 13th (I haven't adjusted the other 11 schools that insist on playing D2s and worse) at 65.3 ppg

MTSU's CJ Jones is 3rd in the league in points 16.8 ppg (oddly he scored 17 ppg against the nonD1s)

Where would this team be without Jason Wade? Beyond his scoring, defense, steals, rebounds in traffic, it is clear he brings a lot of toughness to this team.

I believe that Pilavios is going to be a solid player. Good passer. Offense has a little flow to it.
