RE: GaSo vs. Liberty in Cure Bowl, could it be any better
I'm surprised nobody has pointed out the possible drop in attendance isn't linked to the change in venue. I mean the bowl game went from a 60k seat stadium to a 25k seat stadium. Everyone on here doesn't seem to get at this point that attendance numbers aren't an accurate reflection of how many people are actually at a game (one look at any attendance thread ever verifies that). I'm willing to bet attendance at this bowl game will be consistently lower going forward in Exploria than it was previously at Camping World.

You could write a protest email to the Cure Bowl for picking us over you if you'd like, but there's a reason behind it.

A reason that didn't pan out... because in order to have the lowest attendance either...
1. You didn't turn out like they thought
2. You did, and the city didn't care

Either way, not good. All the while losing to Doug and the Emu.

And Georgia State, who sold less tickets than Georgia Southern in your last two trips combined, would have been the Cure Bowl’s golden goose? 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

Sure... Even if that was the case... it meant the city of Orlando supported our bowl more than yours. Also,... we sold our allotment every year. Meanwhile two days before the game....

And we didn't lose to Liberty.

Well you did lose to Liberty when we were still FCS..... 05-stirthepot

Lol. Not sure why it would be brutal. Thread was , " wow, GS lost to Liberty". Response was "yeah well App and GSU suck!"...

...then a train derailed carrying this thread and here we are.

And again our alleged attendance explains GS failings...

Man y’all are really upset that Liberty managed to do something Georgia State and App State can’t. It’s really eating away at you huh?
Don't think upset is the correct adjective...

Yeah I’ll pass on that thanks. Wouldn’t wanna play Liberty in a bowl. I mean how terrible would it look if we lost to them?

I don’t know. Georgia State already has a pretty pathetic reputation. Y’all have lost to way worse teams than Liberty in recent seasons. I don’t know how y’all could possibly sink lower on the totem pole.
Again, explaining your loss by "yeah but they suck"

Well, the only other thing I’ll say is that TrueBlewDrew is an utter embarrassment to the GS fanbase. He would be an embarrassment to any fanbase. The rest of you guys here are pretty cool (I avoid sports smack on twitter like the plague, so can’t comment on that segment of the fanbase). TBD takes it way too far and too seriously and has built up actual hatred for another school and group of sports fans.

He truly is a lunatic. Watching him start to really lose it is just sad and I pity him.

Um Throwing someone under the bus to this degree is the definition of smack and more in line with a total skull dragging beatdown from someone who I've never even noticed interacting among the die-hards. Nice drive by but totally dbagish.

He’s the only poster I’ve ever had to put on the ignore list so I don’t see his messages unless someone responds to him. I had to because of the threatening messages he sent me via Twitter. I know it was him because he used the same verbiage in those messages that he does on here. Dude’s a total psycho. I’ll never engage with him directly anymore.

That's just something I can't let slide. That's a pretty serious accusation. If a poster on this board were threatening another poster on Twitter, they should be kicked off the board. But I'm not on Twitter, and that person wasn't me.

Ya know, if he can lie about that, I wonder what else he was lying about...very possible nobody threatened him on Twitter in the first place. He's absolutely lost it.

That's the kind of stuff a poster's fellow fans should be calling him out for.

Ga Sou should not be able to talk trash anymore. They have gone down in history as being Liberty’s first ever bowl win. Friggen Liberty.

Lowest attendance in the Belt, losing to an fcs move up. I’m not saying they’re the gutter of the conference, but I am agreeing that it’s time for them to humble themselves.

How does it feel to get boat-raced by that team?

I mean, bad, but i was pulling for Georgia Southern hard in the bowl game and it’s not just because it was Liberty. I usually do in non-conference games, especially bowl games. I don’t get all this trash talk regarding Belt teams in OOC.
