Well, the only other thing I’ll say is that TrueBlewDrew is an utter embarrassment to the GS fanbase. He would be an embarrassment to any fanbase. The rest of you guys here are pretty cool (I avoid sports smack on twitter like the plague, so can’t comment on that segment of the fanbase). TBD takes it way too far and too seriously and has built up actual hatred for another school and group of sports fans.

He truly is a lunatic. Watching him start to really lose it is just sad and I pity him.

Um Throwing someone under the bus to this degree is the definition of smack and more in line with a total skull dragging beatdown from someone who I've never even noticed interacting among the die-hards. Nice drive by but totally dbagish.

Uh...OK.

Wow, he expresses his concern about one of your posters mental health and you attack him calling him a dbag? Talk about pot calling the kettle black...

I hope Georgia St makes a good game against Wyoming or it's going to be brutal on here.

Guys, when Georgia Southern accepted the Cure Bowl they obviously decided to start announcing actual butts in the seats instead of tickets sold and distributed.

You could write a protest email to the Cure Bowl for picking us over you if you'd like, but there's a reason behind it.

A reason that didn't pan out... because in order to have the lowest attendance either...
1. You didn't turn out like they thought
2. You did, and the city didn't care

Either way, not good. All the while losing to Doug and the Emu.

Yeah I’ll pass on that thanks. Wouldn’t wanna play Liberty in a bowl. I mean how terrible would it look if we lost to them?

GA St fans are beating TBI like, well, pretty much every GA St sports team since the two joined the conference. Panama get me more popcorn.

Man y’all are really upset that Liberty managed to do something Georgia State and App State can’t. It’s really eating away at you huh?

This game ended Saturday afternoon, right? How's the thread at 12 pages.

App St/UAB (who won their bowl and has more fans) thread is half of this.

I don’t know. Georgia State already has a pretty pathetic reputation. Y’all have lost to way worse teams than Liberty in recent seasons. I don’t know how y’all could possibly sink lower on the totem pole.

He’s the only poster I’ve ever had to put on the ignore list so I don’t see his messages unless someone responds to him. I had to because of the threatening messages he sent me via Twitter. I know it was him because he used the same verbiage in those messages that he does on here. Dude’s a total psycho. I’ll never engage with him directly anymore.

What in the absolute hell are you talking about???

I'm literally not on Twitter...I don't have an account, I don't read it, I sure as hell don't go on for sports chatter...I don't know what kind of forensic analysis you think you did on the messages from whatever Twitter account you're talking about, but you missed the mark BIG TIME.

If I DID ever go on Twitter, I would never go NEAR your account...

See, you're proving my point. Throwing out accusations that I threatened you on Twitter, which is absolutely false. Just made up. That's insane. You have a few screws loose, man. I don't threaten people on the internet. I think I've expressed in the past that if you got threatened on Twitter, you should have reported to the police.

Sure... Even if that was the case... it meant the city of Orlando supported our bowl more than yours. Also,... we sold our allotment every year. Meanwhile two days before the game....

And we didn't lose to Liberty.

I'm not gonna sit here and be accused of committing a crime against another poster on this board. I've never interacted with TrueBlueDrew outside of this board. Ever. I don't use Twitter. I don't have an account. And I've never threatened anyone online, in any way, shape or form.

That's a pretty serious charge, saying I threatened him on Twitter when in the past he has said he got death threats over Twitter. Implying I threatened his safety, when he just made it up out of thin air, is a dangerous and irresponsible thing to do. But he did it.

I'll stand by it: I think the guy has issues, and this is just another example. That is NOT COOL and I'm not gonna just let that sit out there.

He’s a liar. He’s always been a liar. He makes stuff up on here, he makes stuff up on Twitter. And somehow a big chunk of their fan base takes his lies and believes them to be facts

And we didn't lose to Liberty.

You ever notice how they make unverifiable claims and act like it’s reality because one person was told by one person that is friends with one person who was an official that said they sold the most tickets ever? It’s happened a lot with them.

In this case for instance, we have an official attendance which says that this bowl this year was the lowest attended ever. I assume their policy of counting attendance is the same year after year, so Southern fans can’t use their famous “but actually while our attendance is lowest in the conference, in reality it’s HIGHEST in the conference because we count things differently” trick. Liberty almost certainly brought more people than damn San Jose State did, so I’m going to assume a larger allotment of the total tickets sold were bought by Liberty fans than when we played SJS. So the remaining tickets were bought by fans of the other school (GSU or Southern), or fans of football. Assuming that the number of General football fans that like going to bowl games remains the same in both games, it would mean that no, in fact, GSU sold more tickets than Southern did, which appears to be backed up by the tweet that you posted. It’s certainly extremely unlikely that they “outsold every team except the local one,” in fact that would seem almost impossible mathematically.

They stupid thing is though, if you believe everything you do is fantastic when in reality it’s mediocre or subpar, you’re never going to do better. If you want to go around saying 14,000 average attendance (and shrinking) is good enough “because they’re counting attendance wrong,” then be my guest. Georgia State has hardly been great with attendance, but the school knows that, and have worked on it, and my god if the attendance hasn’t significantly improved because of it, which is why it’s improving and not declining. And I won’t accept our current attendance as being good enough “because it rained for half the games” or “because they didn’t count the tickets properly,” because I want my school to do better and not make excuses for having sub 14k average attendance. Yes, Georgia State has been the laughing stock in attendance in this conference before, but not this season. That belongs to Southern, so either own it and fix it, or keep pretending you don’t have problems while it keeps getting worse.
