Wonder if there is a chance we can bundle his girlfriend, former Assumption all-state pitcher, Allie Timmons into the deal. :-)
Good luck to Stoefen as a Rocket.

Apparently Rockets still looking for a RB in the class, as they just offered 2020 RB Tino Hunt from Ruskin FL. Doesn't appear to have a page on 247sports, but here's his hudl

Didn't realize he was from Canada. When's the last time UT had a Canadian player? Used to do very well bringing in some players from up north, but none recently that I can recall.

RE: Early Signing Period
So here's the key question, did the 6-6 season, firing coaches, losing last 3 games and not getting bowl invite, hurt ability to recruit? There have been plenty of comments in last few weeks that it would, how many decommits and did class ranking drop in last month?

I'm not surprised at all you guys got a good haul of recruits. UT has been among the top performing and consistent programs in the MAC the past decade or two. I wouldn't think one small - and probably temporary - "dip" would turn off many prospects.

fan=fanatic

rational fan = a division of idiots.

Learned that in Maths.

What "rational" person would come to a message board expecting everyone to be reasonable about their team and school? It's supposed to be fun. Can't handle the heat, get out of the beatchin.

David Ridgeway was Canadian and a good kicker. Our first good “side winder” I think. After Jim Cameron that is.

Yep and Ridgway. Plus lots of other contributors like JP Bekasiak, Lyle Green, Phil Gibson, Mac Freeman ... that I can think of off the top of my head.

We could probably sign as many as 6 or 7 more players by the time the February period is over. The question is, how many quality kids remain.

The Star Ledger here in NJ listed the 100 best HS football players that signed during the "early signing period". Only the top 50 were assigned a rank. Three non-ranked players that caught my eye were S Eric Rodgers(Burlington Twp.) signing with N. Illinois, OL Jack Taylor (Lawrenceville) signing with W. Michigan, and WR Zahir Swann ((Irvington) signing with C. Michigan. 4 ranked players signed with Michigan, 2 with Ohio State, 1 Notre Dame, and 1 from Penn State. There was some mention on our board about the decreasing size of some of our LBs. New Rutgers Coach Greg Schiano signed two LBs in a class of 15...one was 6'3 215, and the other 6'4 and 205. It would be nice to see UT recruit more from NJ. In the past we did have players from the two schools above....Burlington and Irvington.

One thing I noticed. No one signed from Pennsylvania . Good bunch from Ohio. Including our top two recruits.

Disappointed in the signing day coverage on the UT website. Just a few paragraphs and a list of signees (name, height, weight, position, hometown/school).

In years past there were detailed bios of each player which is a big deal to me. Often there were links to player videos also.

Looked around at other schools and all were much better. Also, there were coach press conferences in almost every case.

Just my 2c but...

Who cares? We have done big events most years (and it's still likely to come in February) and all that plus our "#1 in the Conference Recruiting" has done nothing on the field. Let's allow the staff to focus on getting a couple really good coordinators in here.

Totally get wanting lots of coverage but we have bigger problems.

I believe Candle did a great job getting this class on board. He’s in a tight spot. Trying to get the class signed and recruiting both players and coaches. With the class now onboard he can put more effort into getting our new OC and DCs . That’s something I hope he takes his time with. That’s something he really has to take his time in getting someone that knows what he’s doing

I guess all the complaining a few weeks ago was for naught and all worked our fine with recruiting?? 07-coffee3
