USM beating a ranked team on national TV but no big deal, because DT ruined the program by having the 1st and 2nd most wins in school history in the 2 seasons he coached, brought the fans back and left with USM having 5 consecutive 20-win seasons. Then poor coach Sadler had no chance after following that success. He was destined to have 3 consecutive 20-loss seasons immediately following the 2 winningest years in school history. No fault of his own of course bc DT left the cupboard bare (like LF did poor EJ and EJ did TM and TM did poor JH). But Sadler couldn't have left the cupboard bare for this Ladner guy could he? After all, he is "one of us", so he must suck something terrible.

We may lose (and get smoked) this game and the rest of the games this year, but if you're a USM fan, you should be pretty pumped right now about the game tonight. But more importantly, at least get behind this coach and give him a chance until there's reason to dog him out. Hell, more than half this board gave Sadler every excuse in the book and defended him til the end with the bull**** "DT's fault" excuse.

If there ever was a moral victory it would be this game. Missing 3 players and play a team tooth and nail until the end that was in the National Championship last year on their home court with a 52 game home (non-conference) win streak that beat the #1 team in the country last week. There's hope.

regardless of their ****** shooting percentage, they made the same amount of treys, and had more attempts from the paint AND outside...

Granted, TT was probably hung over and didn’t take us a bit seriously going in, but making a team of that caliber pay attention to us is a very, very positive sign.
