I may have missed this elsewhere on the MB but due to a knee injury Charles Bassey is out for the rest of the Season at WKU. I think everyone here would agree we do not want to see an opponent, no matter how good, get injured but since it happened it will certainly make things easier on our team if we can pull it all together for CUSA play.

Thank God. Now we won't be so screwed due to the loss of Elbert Robinson. \S

Tubby Smith. Surely we could pull him away from High Point, and he totally fits our preference for coaches that always have terrible offensive teams.

I don't know how y'all keep forgetting the most obvious and qualified candidate that we could ever dream of attaining:

me.

We have much more worries then Charles Bassey!

Trombono you forfeited any right to that job with your idiotic stunt the other day. No one needs a coach who'd post he's signed Bill russell's grandson then comes back with "kidding. "

Sorry to hear that about Bassey. He's a good young player and I know it hurts the chances for WKU to have the season that they had hoped to have. Hope he has a full recovery and returns to WKU next season.

Don't have the player, hate the game. I'm willing to do the things needed to win. And by win, I mean get there most fanatic of a Big 10 schools fans to descend into chaos.

Tubby Smith is a High Point alum. Not saying he or any other coach would stay just because he went to school there, but he is up in years so this may be his last coaching job.

The floor of the basketball arena they're building will his and his wife's names. They donated $1 million to the project. Plus he's 68. This is almost certainly his final HC job, and my guess is once the arena is online next fall, that season might be his last.

I've said from the very beginning I would give the head coaching job to Bryant Stith, step back, and watch recruiting go through the roof. This is the type of coach the kids want to play for today. Question is....would he take the job.
