Fairfield Game Sunday
I like our defensive effort - minus givIng up too many offensive rebounds initially, though we cleaned that up as the half progressed.

Most troubling stat by far at halftime? 3 assists. Nuff said.

We didn't play particularly well but are still up at the half with a game being played at our pace in the 20s. Correct a few small things at halftime and pull away down the stretch.

Well, we are continuing to not play very well. They are out hustling us in this stretch.

The camera work leaves something to be desired, I feel like they're slow to pan it as players are running the court

This game is one to win and move on. Not feeling it watching the guys today. Hope my gut is wrong.

Defense showing up. We have held them scoreless for over 3 minutes.

Hopefully getting Scott back gives the offense a boost, but a wins a win. I certainly didn't have us at 7-3 at this point

You're right about the defense. Good road win, despite the offenseive struggles.

Defense did its job in the second half. Knight and VV with another double double-double.

Was Williams with the team today? It looked to me like Hermanovskis was getting abused quite a bit - and he played quite a few minutes.

Williams was on the bench, as was Scott (not dressed out).

TV coverage was a little dark and missed a couple things, but I was impressed with their broadcasters. The coach colorman really knew the game and both were very complimentary of the Tribe. Of course, they have decided Nathan is now an NBA 1st Rounder...

Credit Fairfield's defense keeping the offense well below our average. Nice thing about this year's team is that defense generally travels well and can keep you in games when the offense is letting you down. Ugly game at times, but a good road win going into the exam period.

Seems like the broadcasters for schools in the northeast are always fantastic. I think there is a much bigger interest in media education including sports broadcasting up there and that spills into even small college athletics. Both ESPN and NBCsports are about an hour from Fairfield

RE: Fairfield Game Sunday
Tough, gritty, not very pretty road win at a tough place to win. This team has a basic toughness that
gets them through games like this.

Both announcers and Fischer praised Luke for his defensive job on their big scorer, Taliaferro. whom he held to ten points (three on a final shot heave). Luke again tallied double figures and is the heart of the team.

And how about Nathan hitting three of five three-point attempts in addition to another nation-leading
double double. He and Van Vliet are something else we've never seen before.

Who would have believed 7-3 at this point of the season?

Lead the nation in road wins 01-ncaabbs

I hope Luke Loewe will be recognized for his play on both ends come time for CAA post season selections. Looking forward to seeing what he can do this year in limiting Riller and Roland.

RE: Fairfield Game Sunday
Two highlights I want to see again are Blair's pass to a cutting Loewe for a layup and Knight chasing the guy down for the block and then jumping out of bounds to grab it and throw it off the Fairfield player.

The highlight I want to see in games for the rest of the season: Van Vliet at the 3 point line making the entry pass to Knight who got fouled because he already had his man sealed.
