He will have to watch switches on the pick and roll because the little guard will try to pick on him and take him off the dribble. He’s great to have because of foul trouble and didn’t look to bad on the free throw line.

He'll be more of a factor once he figures out the college style of play. I expect that to be before the UT game.
Maurice will soon be the 11th man in a 10-man rotation. He's had his chance and blew it. Malcolm will get his minutes.
Maurice will be needed... we have guys with different strengths. There will be times his shooting is needed.
Malcolm looked good... can't let that 1-5 switch happen when he is on the floor though. He is not ready to guard on the perimeter
One thing he didn't look was confused.
I’m thankful that the switching of the p&r has been changed so the bigs don’t have to be isolated anymore...it was killing us defensively, as this was too much to ask of the bigs, left us exposed in many ways...Now the guys are just showing and hustling back or it’s coupled with a trap on the perimeter by our guards... The team is showing progress defensively and starting to anticipate what is coming at them, they are becoming really fun to watch
A surprise to me is Malco D.... he has earned a new nick name “Big Smooth” He was so impressive with his demeanor and his movements, as it was mentioned that he doesn’t appear that he’s a freshman...He is smooth and brimming with confidence in his game
Another aspect that I hope to see once our team is jelling and at full strength.... It was such an AMAZING feeling during the 2008 season with the “mentality” that Cal’s team hit the floor with, Total Domination...To see that we didn’t let up on teams even being up 30 was the most incredible stretch of basketball that I have seen on ANY level, I still remember, it gives me chills to this day.... And it gives me solace to claim the Championship, as I know that Kansas needed assistance from the refs to pull out a victory...
The ONLY aspect missing from Cal’s team was depth, he knew that going in and allowed he team to NOT slow down the game and keep pressure on the other team through the entire game....
Once CPH’s team starts to fire on all cylinders...I would love for these guys to adopt that same mentality “Memphis against EVERYBODY” and absolutely punish ANY opposition that dares to suit up against us from start to finish...We are deeper than Cal’s team, so the impact could have a gr8er effect overall that would crescendo into the the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and beyond....JMO
