RE: House releases Impeachment report
Once again Dems care ZERO about precedent and the long term consequences of their actions

After they impeach President Trump, I wouldn't be surprised to see impeachment become a normal occurance when the minority party has the House. All Presidents leverage their power to accomplish their goals. The minority party will never like an opposing president's goals thus a flimsy reason for impeachment in a process with ZERO guaranteed minority rights outside of what the majority tolerates.

Congrats Dems

Seems to be a recurring theme with them.

So, what does this prove?

Is it legal?

If so. Im sure the Senate will then get Schiffs call records from back around July 25th.
And this is when the real fun begins

This is the stupidest argument of them all. Not blaming you specifically for it as it was floated again by the cons yesterday in the hearing.

That being said, I assume you meant to say majority party as the minority party by nature can't have the house as they're the minority. 03-wink

All the Dems have is the House therfore they like the GOP in 2010 are the minority party. Thanks for trying to be cute

As for long term consequences being "stupid" that's what Harry Reid thought when he eliminated the judicial filibuster. He was wrong and so are you

The problem with these people sitting on the left in these hearings is they are simpletons. They don’t think past the end of their noses. Trump is such a white whale to these idiots they will destroy themselves chasing him. Take the rehearsed ‘Barron’ comments. How stupid are these people to have come up with that. It alone made that screeching lesbo look dumb as a rock. The republicans couldn’t have done a better job of it.

"...Knowing his sentiments, Democrats on the panel had steered clear of Turley, mostly quizzing the three other liberal legal scholars. Noah Feldman of Harvard Law School, Michael Gerhardt of the University of North Carolina School of Law and Pamela Karlan of Stanford Law School all agreed that Trump had committed impeachable offenses.

Only Turley dissented. For that reason, he was shut out of the first 45 minutes of questioning except for one yes-or-no question. When Turley tried to elaborate, the Democratic counsel shut him down.

“You're now well rested,” ranking member Doug Collins told the legal scholar when Republicans finally got their turn to ask questions. Was there anything he would like to respond to from the initial round of inquiries that skipped over him?

“It's a challenge to think of anything I was not able to cover in my robust exchange with majority counsel,” Turley quipped. “But I'd like to try.” And then he held forth, explaining why it would be improper to impeach Trump, a president whose actions he didn’t think were particularly proper....

--If Democrats want to charge Trump with obstruction of justice by refusing to comply with subpoenas, they ought to willingly fight him in court, a legal avenue rightly open to the president: “If you impeach a president, if you make a high crime and misdemeanor out of going to the courts, it is an abuse of power. It’s your abuse of power....""

I don't know what the resolution guiding the proceedings says on that matter, if anything, but I would think some type of representative of his committee should be available to judiciary if warranted. I would think the counsel that represented the D's in the hearings would suffice.

Elections have consequences. And the 45 minute question session from each side is the same as they did in the first hearings. I watched most of this and I didn't see the GOP asking many questions of the 3 dem witnesses...and they hardly asked Turley much to be honest...they mostly ran on bloviating about nonsensical conspiracy theories and lamenting the process for their whole 5 minutes.

But I do with they would have questioned Turley more. Especially about his change of heart since the last impeachment. Additionally, Turley seemed to say that waiting for the courts to clear the fact witnesses and documents the White House is holding seemed to be the prudent direction, so I wish they would have asked him how long that would take and whether it made sense as an election is coming up.

My e-mail this morning to my Congressional Representative (term-limits poster-child, Bobby Scott):

Rep. Scott:

I can't imagine that you care, but I'll waste some of my time anyway.

As someone who used to work the polls for you, back when you first ran for your current office, I want you to know that the Democrat-led impeachment effort has accomplished the near-impossible: turning me into a defender of President Trump. What are you folks thinking????

how did that panel or whatever they're called get selected? i'm beyond shocked that a grouping of academics is so incredibly biased. trump can't get a fair shake and it doesn't even matter. i guess only don's can be teflon

welp. the left's gonna have five more years of churning mountains out of molehills. at what point does donald just ignore it? i mean, not call schiff a complete waste of a human or whatever. not that i mind it or expect him to, or even disagree with it, i just think it'd piss em off more if he didn't acknowledge them

scheme, President Trump conditioned official acts on a public announcement by the new
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, of politically-motivated investigations, including one

So much wrong and partisan bull**** in here.

On at least 4 occasions Zelensky has publicly stated there was no pressure, no quid pro quo and the democrats ignore it. We aren't ignoring it.
