I don't have faith that Roy had his guys giving all they had against UNCW. I think he was going to get the W, but wasn't intereested in beating us by 40 or 50 if he could.
Now i thought the same initially, but then watched what happened when they played Elon, the game had a similar flow.
We still played a team with better talent. That's like we shouldn't count the games that Estime and Gadsden didn't play in. He kept Cole in way after the game was decided.

I haven't even looked at the UNC stats, so I have no idea how they would change the numbers. You're welcome to put together your own stats. I explained why I did it the way I did.

Just asking. Looks like some stats would help us and some would hurt. It's a D1 game, so I thought it should be figured in. No matter what. But that's just my opinion. Not trying to throw any darts your way.

The way UNC looked last night... I don't think Roy backed off the peddle against us at all. 82, you were right earlier this year when you said UNC was overrated. They are. They don't even come close to resembling a normal UNC squad.
I'm not entirely sure what that says about how we played against them, but I don't believe they played soft against us at all.

It's almost like Roy needs multiple All-Americans to be successful in a given year. Funny how that works.

That's always been the case. He's never been a great X and O guy. He wins with teams he can roll the ball out and let play, because he's a GREAT recruiter(usually).
Sound familiar? (minus the five star guy thing of course)

Yeah, I made that statement with tongue firmly implanted in cheek. The book on Roy and his coaching tree is pretty much common knowledge at this point lol.

Granted, I totally understand where 82 is coming from and it's hard to argue against his point... I think Stanford is the most impressive team we've played to this point. They beat William & Mary by 31, Oklahoma on the road by 19, and their only loss is to a ranked Butler team by 1.

Not after seeing the Elon game and how it played out.
