Didn't Tony Pollard do it last year, or the year before, in one of our early season cream eclair games?

I don’t recall it happening on the opening possession, but maybe.

Probably thinking about 2 years ago when Pollard won all the (illegal) jewelry for fans. The jewelry deal was either the opening season kickoff or the first game halftime kickoff - whichever one we received. He did it on the kickoff to open the 2d half.

I see others teams do that all the time. You cannot come to a stop and then restart your stride. Head north and south, and weave thru the other team. Love it.

Absolutely. They've been coached well. You have to get north and south quickly and decisively. It's one reason Pop was not as effective as a kick returner. He's fast enough, but he tends to want to stop/start with quick sideways movements. Better for punts, but not good for kickoffs.

Bottom line:it’s difficult to do. But watch us-we make it look easy.

Yes it is hard...

But Norvell values special teams.

He makes special teams a priority and he shows it because the majority of the guys out there on special teams are starters.

That’s true. And I believe it makes us more difficult to scout and prepare for. All good things.

Claybrooks is insanely fast...he's just on another level in terms of sheer speed...Austin is faster, which is doubly insane

No. They were engaged blocking in front and he then turned while they were still in contact, that is not a block in the back.

Yep. You can tell that from the second view (endzone shot). You can see the block start before he caught the ball, and they stayed engaged with him until Claybrooks passed that spot on the field.

I noticed that too on the live feed. Saw there was a flag and figured that blew it for him. When they announced a sideline warning, I thought that maybe it was finally our turn to get the calls for a change.

Turned into a good day for the Tigers - Hope for a better one on Saturday!

we are now getting the treatment ucf received to make sure they get in the cotton bowl 2.5 for the conference and 6 for Memphis
