We were super conservative. The last time we were that conservative was Ole Piss. When we opened things up we were productive; when we didn't we bogged down.

It seems that Norvell gets scared when White has any kind of pressure. The official stats say 1 sack, 1 pressure and 1 hurry, but he was probably pressured 3 or 4 times. All in all, IMO, no reason to completely go into a shell and almost blow the game.

I like that much better. He might be able to run a bit against us, but he can't make half the throws Bryant did. Bryant is raw but he is going to be a really good quarterback.

Ridder threw for less than 100 yards the last 2 games and hasn't thrown for more than 172 yards in his last 5 games...and he has a bum shoulder. I like our chances.

Aside from the flea flicker we did play cautious in the second half. They dared us to pass and we ran it a lot when we had the chance to bury them. We won, so it doesn’t matter, but I hope we blow the door off offensively (in the Championship game) so we don’t have to worry about our D having to carry too much weight.

Yes. I want Cincy scratching their heads halfway through the first quarter wondering how we got up 45 - 3.

He doesn't get "cute" for a national audience. And he doesn't get "scared". He will adjust when there are new wrinkles. And our running attack allows him the ability to figure out the new wrinkles.

Plus, you get a lead in that game last week, you want to do two things. One, run as much clock as you can without taking the air totally out of the ball. And two, you setup things for this week. You run plays and formations to put things on film so you can change it this week. It's not showing your hand - but it's more than that. It's actually setting up your next moves.

Can you blame the move though? They weren't winning Saturday with Bryant. Probably won't win with Ridder either.

We also could have won by more, but threw a pick due to QB/WR miscommunication. Woulda, coulda, shoulda....doesn’t matter.

I wonder if the Tigers had game planned for Ritter last week? Then Cincinnati played the other guy instead. So the defensive game plan should already be in place for seeing Ritter.

They ran the same plays...

Read option...

Only difference is Ritter would have run more and is less accurate with the pass. If you know what they are going to run you still need to do your job.
