What a sad statement: "With a six-figure salary and likelihood of being among the least attractive openings this coaching carousel....."

Hopefully Thursday goes well and it will be a seven-figure salary and a little more attractive.

The wife and I ran into a guy last night named Huxtable at NoFrills at a table next to ours, the dude straight up looked like he was on a week long binge drinking trip and looked to be the homeless brother of Mike Leach. I had to google him out in the parking lot because I couldn't buy his story. Turns out his story was true he was the DC at NCState for the past 5 plus years.

Hes a decent DC and he was fired yesterday. People dont factor in how rough it is to be a an assistant in this game. Im assuming you wouldnt look all that great the day you got fired.

Cignetti sounds very interesting. Wonder what his buy out would be and if that would be prohibitive for us? In fact, taking any current HC could be cost prohibitive.

If he's decent, why was he fired? Personal issues?

Definitely, but disheveled is kind of his look. I also wouldn't read too much into him being in town.

Wilder's potshot at Shane Beamer in his press conference probably wasn't out of the blue. My guess is that Wilder knows Beamer is being courted...if he hasn't already been hired.

If we get a respected HC there is no way we should let him in the same room as that clown Ted Alexander who knows nothing about football. We don’t need someone asking basic pee wee football questions, we need someone to truly ask tough questions, cover this team and program with a serious manner. Ted Alexander is anything but serious and makes us all look like fools. More than just the HC needs replacing

Ted is an ODU employee. Indeed he is Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.
As such he he will never ask the tough questions.

That is a job for the media, like Bruce Rader.

Ah yes, the twice annual pissing contest between the hate/love Alexander teams. Personally I can't stand either him or Mashaw, but they are not going anywhere. Thankfully I attend all home games and watch the away games on ESPN so rarely have to listen to either one.
