If Memphis wins, they're in. They looked like the better team and probably will carry that momentum into their first NY6 bid.

Memphis win --> Memphis
Memphis loss, Boise win --> Boise
Memphis and Boise lose --> Appalachian State

I voted Memphis because I believe they will win again, and a 1 loss Memphis >> 1 Loss Boise or App

Order:

1) Memphis - win
2) Boise - win, Memphis Loss
3) App St - win, Memphis and Boise Loss
4) Cinci - win, Boise, App State and Memphis Loss

I disagree, I think Cincy gets in over App State.

But I voted for Memphis because I think they will win and thus end all the controversy.

Most likely all 3 home teams win, so Memphis. I anticipate close games with UC/Memphis and App State/Louisiana.
Not sure Hawaii will bring enough defense to keep that game close.

I think Hawaii vs Boise will be much closer than their October meeting. Hawaii will have learned some things about stopping Boise. And this Boise team, while having done an admirable job of overcoming some early injuries, isn't in the same class as previous 11-win Boise teams.

Boise's QB is the question mark - if Hank is healthy, they're a much better team.

You realize UC's QB played most of the year injured and that we played a backup true freshman with only 12 passing attempts all season against Memphis, right?

For the record, I would like to note the rare occasion upon which we agree. Both points.

What's the status of Ridder?

Luke Fickell made it clear during Monday's AAC teleconference: If Desmond Ridder can play Saturday at Memphis, he'll return to his spot as Cincinnati football's starting quarterback....

Shoulder issue. Fickell's not going to say anything up until game time. If you put a gun to my head I will say Bryant will start again.

BSU is a different team at home. Besides the 56-39 win at home against Hawaii, the other homes game they have given up 9, 17, 19, 7, and 10. On the road they have given up 24, 21, 42, 28, 13, 31. Hawaii's D is rated like #125th.

I think it would be very interesting to see which way the committee goes if it comes down to Cincy and App. We'll have a better idea once we see the playoff poll Tuesday. If Cincy is still ranked and close to App I suspect they'd bump them over App were they to beat Memphis on the road. There's no other real intrigue if Memphis wins they are in and if Memphis loses and Boise wins they are in.

Note: Memphis has lost one home game since late 2016. Last season to undefeated #10 UCF. By one point.

Let's wait until CFP announces their rankings before saying this. I bet Cincy is ranked ahead of App by the committee. But even if they're one spot behind, they'd jump ahead by beating a top 16 or so Memphis.

What will happen.

Memphis win and in
Boise win plus Memphis loss - in
Cincy win and Boise loss - in
App likely out of contention, even with win

What should happen

Winner of Memphis/Cincy - in (By virtue of UC's 2 losses to number one in country, plus another top 20 team, and a win over a top 20 team, which is a better win that either Boise or App have).

All others - out.

We'll know tomorrow when they release rankings. If UC is ahead or only one spot behind App...they'd go instead of App. If App is several spots ahead, they might hold off UC.
