RE: As I watch MNF and Matthew Stafford, I can't help but think about Brady White
Well, we warned you guys when you dumped on BW earlier in the year. We also said at the time that, after he shoved your noodle arned comments back down your throat, that some of you would try to explain your way out of it.
We are one game away from the cotton bowl. Spare us the Good Brady White / Bad Brady White mantra.

Each and every time I sit my butt down at the Liberty Bowl, I look at my son and say, "OK, do we get Good Brady or Bad Brady?"
And I cannot help but hold my breath when a defender gets within 3 feet of the guy .. It's a flaw in my character I guess.

No it's called realism.
No different from holding your breath when a 60 percent free throw shooter steps to line needing both free throws to tie a basketball game.
Brady White has improved a great deal. He has had two nice rushes the last two weeks and we are winning but don't forget we could easily be undefeated right now.
I'm pulling for BW but all these super fans feel the need to defend the young man from all criticism.
Perhaps BW and the Tigers wouldn't be where they are now without the fan criticism? Fwiw I don't boo our players..ever...however maybe those books lit a fire under him.
And as much criticism as BW caught a lot of it was due to the play calling by MN, which too has improved. Maybe I'm not a superfan for noticing we threw so many passes short of the chains on 3rd down early this season.
Only had my seats in my family since the Liberty Bowl opened. I guess I need to learn to be a better fan.
It's really gotten old listening to everybody feel the need to bash other Tiger fans who have noticed flaws in Brady's game. And fwiw I didn't call for him to be replaced by Adair, nor am I sure any true Tiger did but there were situations Adair could have gotten reps in earlier in the season, that's on Norvell not BW.

As a rule, I'm guessing it's better to bash critical fans than to bash our players.
RE: As I watch MNF and Matthew Stafford, I can't help but think about Brady White
The 5 game stretch before Friday were the best 5 in a row I've ever seen from a Tiger quarterback, sandwiched between Temple and Cincinnati. Friday was still very good, but his performance is affected by line play more than any quarterback I've ever seen.
The thing that bothers me is how Norvell seems to not trust the passing game the minute White gets pressured. IMO, conservative play calling almost did us in on Friday. White was sacked once and pressured 3 or 4 times. You can't shut down the passing game because of that.

[quote]"It's because when it matters, against the best teams in conference, has BW played a mistake free game? Does he have to? He just needs one game against a good defense where he doesn't turn it over or get rattled."

My sources telling me there r two NFL teams interested in Dr. White, but would like to see him play another yr and continue to build arm strength.
I'm not at liberty to give names of teams

I somewhat agree, but then again realize that we are playing that same Cincy team next week. I think Norvell held some things back because we were still having success most of the game.
Look at most every rookie/young QB in the NFL that has a horrible line. Most of them, no matter how gifted they are, struggle. Some completely wash out of the league because of how battered they get.
Brady White isn't Paxton or Riley, but will go down as the best QB in Tiger history, both with stats and wins.

I think you meant boos here not books.
I've been pro Brady White from the beginning but the thing that impressed me the most about him is when he was interviewed on tv he mentioned that he deserved the boos when asked about it

It's called an opinion. You should hold your breath when an 85% ft shooter needs 2 to tie a ballgame. Even the best miss.
It's gotten really old listening to a very few posters still feel the need to bash Brady claiming they see "flaws in Brady's game", then bash him for anything and everything that happens. (no, I am not calling you out, I'm only quoting your comment because it fits my point. I am honestly new enough here that I don't know how bad it had been on this board, but I read enough Facebook groups to see how bad the bashing is.) Some "fans" don't know much about the game, but claim to know everything about what makes a good or bad QB. I don't agree with bashing any player on this board by name or number. Criticizing the coach's calls, fine. Just remember, we don't know everything that is happening. There were fans sitting behind me Friday screaming at Claybrooks for not running back kickoffs later in the game, but didn't think that maybe Norvell told him not to because we were already down one starting CB, something that Chris admitted on the radio show after the game. Didn't keep them from yelling at him to quit being scared to run.
If you think fans like that or booing our team lit a fire under them or made the impact rather than 3 new starting OL gelling as a unit or 2 new WRs came into their own and began to use their talents to the fullest along with the emergence of Kenny Gainwell, I guess you might also believe if you don't wear your lucky socks the team will lose.
This team just won their 11th game this season. When we win Saturday our 12th win is as many as we had from 2009-2013 combined. Why everyone can't enjoy where we are now sometimes blows my mind.

Mike Norvell is likely the best offensive college football brainiac on planet earth. I'm not going to say anything else but that.
