I would prefer to play Florida, Notre Dame, Oregon or Alabama. That said it’s either win and go to the Cotton Bowl or lose and go to the Gaspiarilla Bowl so the opponent is a secondary concern. #GTG

Those seem to ignore yesterday and Friday’s games

Wisconsin would go to the Rose Bowl ahead of Minnesota
Virginia to Orange ahead of Tech

Unless assuming both WI and VA lose their conference title games and that extra loss hurts them so the team they beat the prior week rises above them

Can lose for winning

If we lose to Cincy the AAC would have two 11-2 teams, two 10 win teams (Navy, SMU) and 9 win UCF.

If we don't win and take the NY6 spot which bowl does the conference champion go to?

What if Boise had somehow gone 13-0 this year while we won the CCG to get to 12-1 what bowl / opponent would we likely have drawn?

RE: Week #14 Bowl Projection
In the link cited they project Kansas St vs Liberty in the Liberty Bowl with an ancillary explanation later in the article that the SEC cannot provide a team. If that is the case - and the Bearcats pull off some miracle - then its hard for me to imagine that the Liberty would not prefer the Tigers. And if the Tigers win then its hard to imagine that one of the ACC's top teams wouldn't be better: personally I think the Liberty would love to have Navy.

Should we lose, egad

The Liberty Bowl or maybe the Belk Bowl against Va Tech (saw that speculated somewhere) would be about the only softer landing spots

Ending up in the Frisco Bowl or similar after all this would be a major disappointment

The short answer to both of your questions is a real crappy bowl. (Barring some decent bowl opening up due to not being able to be filled by a primary coference tie-in.)

CBS has Utah in the Cotton, which seems just as likely as Baylor imo

Making it to the Cotton Bowl, only to play Utah (or even Baylor) would be a major letdown. If we play an Alabama or similar team, I will move heaven and earth to insure me and my whole family are at that game.
