this day is coming soon to a senate near you....

who'd a thunk DJT would have named Biden & son, whistleblower, and shifty shiTTT as the four he wants to see appear in a senate trial....

#aceInTheirArseholeBaby

the ding-dongs don't have an out either way it plays out in the house at this point....

I doubt it makes it to the Senate.. The Dems will stop because they believe the damage is done..

Exactly. This farce was initiated just for the Demoncraptic voters as if it was gonna do any good. Those people have already made up their minds on whom they will vote for, and there's no Republican in that list. They will stop just prior to a vote BECAUSE they know that if it goes to then Senate they also know it would make a stop on a dime thing, i.e., it wouldn't pass muster. Another thing, do you think BullShiff wants to be investigated and made to come in front of Senate questions. He knows he and his cronies that are implicated in the Ukraine corruption and would not want to be caught lying to Congress which would come to that. BullShiff has played his cards and he doesn't even have a pair of deuces.
This isn't a trial.
It will be....and when it is all the heresay witness's are eliminated. Additionally, expect the GOP to put Bidens corruption, the Hillary/DNC 2016 Ukraine Connection, and Obama Administration spy on trial as all of those issues are closely linked to the reason Ukrainian aid was being delayed and is part of the case. Such a trial on national TV will be absolutely disastrous to Democrat 2020 presidential hopes.

Given the way polling is rapidly moving against impeachment---Im convinced that Nancy is currently looking for a way to avoid impeachment---and yet still save face. Im thinking Fisheyed Nancy will say something along the lines of "The case against Trump is obvious. However, we know impeachment is divisive and will tear the country apart. Given that we know the corrupt Republicans in the Senate will refuse to acknowledge the obvious Trump wrongdoing---we see little to gain by passing an impeachment charge to this corrupt Republican Senate and will instead simply let the American people speak to his guilt a year from now in the election."

I guarantee you, the smart Democrats do not want a Senate trial.
I think you're right. The Dems don't want their Senator candidates tied up in a trial during the primaries, either.

Knowing the Republicans in the Senate will bring Schiff and Hunter Biden to the trial to testify makes a trial a must see event. The polls are showing independents coming over to Trump in large numbers since the Schiff bogus circus of impeachment began. In the end it is our President and Republicans that will benefit the most from this circus.

Dude, STFU! My comment was as follows:

Quote:Dude, he's a D congressman from CA. He's going nowhere until he decides to.

And he agreed with that as well. I was only commenting that Republican congressman in deep red states and districts will keep getting elected time and time again...and the numbers back that up as almost all reps win re-election.

He then went off into this tangent about crime-ridden nonsense that I was in no way commenting on or about, so I don't need to address it as I never made that claim anywhere.

I know you don't care, but stay out of arguments where you don't what the **** you're talking about.

Obviously because you're deflecting even again, I DO know what I'm talking about.

Although he didn't say so at first, it's clear to everyone that he no longer wishes to visit places like LA, SF, Bal, Det and Chi because he likens them to 3rd world countries and war zones. While perhaps hyperbolic, it does reflect the general decline in safety and living standards for the poor in parts of those places. You insisted that there were red states where this was also true by some definition. We're still waiting on an example of a strong/solid red state/district where crime, homelessness and decay remotely resemble those areas. SInce you think it's obvious, there should be easy examples of red districts where human feces on the streets, homelessness or gun and gang violence is comparable to these areas.

Whether you would agree that these areas meet the definition of a 3rd world country or war zone makes no difference to his point... You're merely using it to avoid supporting your claim that there were red states/districts that are as bad as these blue ones.

I suspect you'll now continue to avoid supporting your claim and instead try and claim that I'm denying that there are any bad red states/districts. Obviously you think there are some pretty bad red states.

By this point, I think we're all at least curious as to where you think those places might be and why.

Personally, I'm interested in
a) what areas you think are as 'red' as those areas are 'blue' and
b) by what definitions you think those places are 'bad'.

You don't remotely have to agree that they are comparable to 3rd world war zones in order to do that.

Schiff is right in line with others from that state - Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters for example - that should have been voted out long ago for a laundry list of reasons but have not been. Pelosi's own district is an area that I visited on many occasions years ago and it was always a neat place to sight see and experience. Now it isn't anywhere that I would ever want to be. The same thing is happening in some other big cities in that state as well - ones that I have also visited many times over the years.

And I would hope you acknowledge that this is also true of R congressman from most all red states/districts as well.

What red states/districts (be specific) are you referring to that have become as bad or worse in some areas of them as 3rd world countries like large parts of Los Angeles and San Francisco have? Like large areas of downtown Portland have? Like the war zones/killing fields of Chicago have? Like the dangerous and decrepit areas of Baltimore that have recently been in the news have?

Hey LeftwingTom ...... Did you simply make yet another off the cuff silly comment with nothing to back it up? You never responded to my questions related to your post above.

Didn't see the question before as I have you on ignore...and now I know why. Nobody, including me, were making any claims about 3rd world countries, war zones, killing fields, nor decrepit areas.

01-wingedeagle

You simply make lies up and dart off in a different direction when confronted with facts and reality that directly counter your stupid comments. Since YOU brought it up with your statement in bold (see above), I simply asked you to tell us all where exactly you were talking about. What areas controlled by Republican leadership has gone down the tubes like those Democrat controlled Cities/States that I detailed to you???

EDIT: Your comment in bold above was a direct response to my comments above that which talked about the decrepit areas controlled by Democrats. Can't ignore 1/2 of the message you are responding to when your reply can easily be attributed to all of it without specificity. In this case you just got caught with putting out some lame comment which is nothing new for you.

Now go back into your happy place and hide. 01-wingedeagle03-lmfao

Now you're doing the deflecting and goal post moving. I merely said, factually, that there are just as many safe R districts as D districts. That's all I was saying and all I was discussing. I don't care to go down this road of the quality of life in those districts that he brought because it's irrelevant and I don't care.

I NEVER SAID THIS. MOVE ALONG. 03-banghead

My comment was that this is also true of Republican CONGRESSMAN (meaning they pretty much always get re-elected), not districts. I was talking only about the elected official, not the quality of life in their district.

Quote:And I would hope you acknowledge that this is also true of R congressman from most all red states/districts as well.

Apologies I did not make that more clear in my original comment.

Honestly Tom, your explanation doesn't jibe with his comment to which you responded. He's talking about people who should have been voted out of office for a variety of reasons, specifically because their districts used to be good places, and now they're (in his opinion) 3rd world countries/war zones. Has only a little to do with party... and all about the people. I suspect there are also D (and R) strongholds where things are just fine.

You're still claiming as fact that there are R districts or states where people should have been voted out. Even at this very low bar, you haven't presented any facts to support it. ODU's line is clear.

I think all of us would like to know where you draw the bar on such people.

The interesting thing is that I'm sure Schiff plans to be the attorney for the democrat house majority, putting on their case. But there are some ethical problems involved when an attorney is also a testifying witness. I could see putting him on the witness list to disqualify him from prosecuting the case because of conflict of interest, but that would be an interesting battle.

See https://www.americanbar.org/groups/profe..._rule_3_7/

"Rule 3.7 Lawyer As Witness - Comment
"Advocate
"[1] Combining the roles of advocate and witness can prejudice the tribunal and the opposing party and can also involve a conflict of interest between the lawyer and client."

There is a lot more detail at the site, but there is definite potential for conflict.

I'm quite certain that Schiff would give his left one to try the case, so it could be interesting to see how this plays out.

You spent a lot of time there saying nothing. Typical democrat except most of you are able to communicate intelligibly if not all that intelligently.

You can't let Trump go unchecked and just go around lying and doing "swamp" stuff in the White House. So you have to impeach him because if the next Dem president that get elected does half the chit Trump has done, y'all Repubs will have him or her assassinated.

Real talk. Y'all Repubs know Trump is a suck ass president that runs the country like a fantasy draft drunkfest. Why y'all continue to support this azz-clown is the real joke. It's like most of you Repubs don't have anything better to do but live in the past, blame Obama for everything that is wrong with the country, and ask about the 30,000 missing emails from Clinton.

What about the President talking calling his boy that he claims he barely knows on his unsecured Motorola Razor phone? Even Putin was probably laughing at that stupid chit as they ease dropped on the conversation. Trump tell lies when he's sleep. He's a habitual liar!!! What do they put in the water over at UABEE?

Not one damn thing that improves brain function.

Dude, he looks like a total fool. I know this works with the base, but I doubt with many others.

He only looks like a fool to real fools too foolish to understand they're the fool.
