This coaching staff is simply pathetic - pretty much on par with Benny Moss.

It's both at the moment. Switching killed us today. No plan to attack the press. No paint defense again. We have no 4/5 men that can compete in the paint area. As was predicted during the off season recruiting period. JWU would have beaten Cleveland State. Toews looks like a completely different player to me this season. Watching CB's post game video infuriates me. "Players didn't execute game plan." This just gets worse.
Class take Hawking and you know the game. Yep, we blew it by not getting the bigs to be ready for this season. Kai will come around. Any time you have a bunch of underclassmen in the backcourt things like this can happen but Toews, Phillips and Tolafree will get better with more seasoning.
We need Ty right about now to hit a big one, make a defensive play and to stabilize things in general. We took his ability and leadership for granted, but when you have such youth playing at the end of games, you need a guy that is older and has been through this. He was a big factor late in games for our Hawks either with clutch 3's or hustle plays.
It's tough guys. I'm a die hard and a competitor and this was a kick in the nads seeing the final score. I saw that we were up 3 with 90 seconds left and felt okay to get the W, but felt like crap after seeing that we lost. And, not getting the ball inbounds really was upseting. Perhaps I know nothing and compared to some like Hawking I do know nothing, but can they run a freaking stack set or something like that? Can they not rub hard off an elbow screen or have a staggered off that?
If you look at reality, the Hawks were lucky to beat Campbell the other night so when you go to the wire, this can happen. UNCW from the looks of things, had their chances and shot a terrible 3 ball and total FG percentage and still should have won. Onto FIU guys. We need Ty back bad right about now but rushing it and not getting him back full would be bad too.

Assist guys tend to look fantastic when they have a big who set an all time NCAA record for FG%. Outside shots will never make an assist guy look good. Linssen is not Cacok.

Clueless....I have heard many Head Coaches better than this guy protect a young team's fragile confidence early in the season by saying that "I didn't get my team prepared enough for this game. I need to be better too, along with my players." Many of those veteran coaches are lying. They understand that it is a two way street and their ego is in tact enough to take one for the team. In this case, we are seeing a Coach that picked the wrong pick defense in crunch time that forced smaller players to defend bigger players in the paint. Baseline plays that are too predictable And we saw ZERO Zone defense against a team that is the weakest 3pt shooting team we faced so far.

Cleveland St is not DIII.

For the first time I can remember in his time here it appears he made some solid adjustments over night. Now we’ll see if they make them in the second half
