Unless I win a $500ml lotto sometime soon we are stuck with Swisher Gymnasium (est. 5-10 yrs).

The good news is, if we fill that place up, it is a very tough place to play for opposing teams.

Looks good... I dont think JU has to build a new arena, but could they afford a major facelift? Remodeling? I dont know how bad it really is, I've only seen it on ESPN+ and pics, not much to go by. It may not need much.

JU has done about as much as they can do for Swisher. It was built in the 1950's. It seats 1350 and one side of the arena seating is low (10 rows maybe) portable's. It gets very cozy for big games (i.e. UNF) which makes for a fun environment.

For several years JU played at the Arena downtown which is very nice but seats 14,000+. Two problems, one was the expense, the other was unless JU was playing a marquee opponent the experience was not great.

Y'all definitely should create a sticky for both current facilities+info and another for facility upgrades and new projects.
