The Salvation Army is probably one of the most efficiently run organizations for helping the down and out ever. From mostly volunteer labor to getting the most dollars and % of dollars to those in need.

But they just can't grasp that Christianity proclaims that we should condemn the sin and love the sinner. God simply doesn't want to see his children engage in things destructive for them, and that is because God loves them. It's sad but today ignorance and superstition win out over truth every time. It's the there are none so blind as those who refuse to see aspect.

Not lost on me in all of this is how Chic-fil-a has started down the slippery slope of abandoning their principles. They have abandoned two organizations who were as faithful and uncompromising as Chic-fil-a has been. What's it going to be next? Are they going to decide to open on Sundays for extra profit? Sad to see quite frankly as it will not end well. You are either faithful or you are not. There is no in between.

They've never gotten the "condemn the sin, not the sinner" application of Christianity. They can't grasp that God simply wants the best for all of his children and so condemns things that are destructive to them, while maintaining love for them.
But as with all things today, ignorance and superstition wins out over truth every time.

I've always been more of the "love the sinner, forgive the sin," way of thinking. But that doesn't change the fact that it is a sin.

Imagine being someone so pathetic that you made a concerted effort to attack a fast food franchise because they did not approve of your degenerate lifestyle.

I've always been more of the "love the sinner, forgive the sin," way of thinking. But that doesn't change the fact that it is a sin.

God forgives the sin, not you. God condemns all sin. But forgiveness is not given until forgiveness is sought. And that's about as Biblical as it gets.

It doesn’t have any thing to do with loving them. They just want everyone to proclaim THEM as the normal ones. It’s all of us heterosexual god fearing folk that are somehow deviant.

Perhaps. But they seem to be prioritizing growth over loyalty. If that is truly their attitude then everything they have worked hard to build is going to begin to erode.
