I know we aren’t in a great conference, but those numbers are abismal.

What are the chances that a Division II school improves the numbers? That's what we are essentially banking on starting next year.

No doubt. We can only hope for the best. It'd be nice if some of our current D1 teams could rise above the level of the bottom half... or even the bottom third. But it wasn't that long ago that Liberty was in that boat.

You have to look at the very recent history of the conference, then look at the trend of the current lineup.

Many people seem to think KSU is on the brink of something special with their recruiting.

UNA is just in the second season of D1 play, and year 1 was primarily freshmen with a 1st year head coach.

UNF, FGCU (although very successful), KSU and UNA are all (relatively) new to D1 in general.

Bellarmine is great in D2, does it translate to D1? Remember, or FYI if you dont know, KSU was fresh off a D2 NC before moving to D1.

Liberty brings the conference up, so I would imagine the rest of the conference will up their game and get the conference stronger in the process.

NJIT has just built a new facility that will give them better recruiting.

I think the ASun, will end up being a great non power 5 conference in a few years. Just has to go through some growing pains.

RE: Kenpom Rankings
Thru 12/3

Liberty 75 +10 spots since 11/17
UNF 191 -13
Lipscomb 196 +16
NJIT 220 -70
JU 252 +19
UNA 276 +3
FGCU 313 -38
Stetson 317 +13
KSU 345 -22

NJIT experienced the biggest fall, a whopping 70 spots. JU the biggest gain (+19 spots). Liberty is clearly the class of the ASUN at #75 and 116 spots higher than the next closest UNF.

For those interested JU plays @Marquette on FS2 at 9:00 EST tonight.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I disagree. I don’t think we deserve Top 25 until we beat LSU and remain undefeated through North Florida at (21-0). Outside of Vandy we’ve literally played no one, and have one of the worst SOS in the nation.

Perhaps Liberty should look to the Big East. I am sure they would love to have u.

There is a reason that Liberty is in the ASUN.

Don’t get mad. Just get better. I know it’s a rough time for JU sports.

No LU fans have any illusions of bigger conference affiliations right now. As a matter of fact, many of us are very happy in the ASun. I much prefer it to remaining in the Big South.

I would like to see the ASUN just get better. It has a high ceiling, we just have to start winning the OOC games against similar conferences, competing with the big conference's (and winning some of those).

I love how UNA has, and will continue to schedule OOC games, but we need to start winning on the road. We tend to compete well against the "big" schools, just to turn around and get beat by a not very good team.

I dont know what's going on with FGCU.

Hopefully, the new facility that JU is building will help them.

Lipscomb will be okay going into the future. They have a great coach that I have payed lots of attention to over the years, he will build a strong, consistent program.

KSU may be a couple of years away from something real good.

Bellarmine will build a good D1 program.

Quick question, honestly, would an 11th or even 12th school help the conference or not? Would it just be extra mouths to feed, or do numbers help?

I am not mad about anything.

I find it hard to believe that anyone feels that the ASUN & Liberty are a great fit. Seems like a lot of underachieving given LU's resources/biz model.

As for rough times at JU, I am very sure you are incorrect.
