It looks like he hops around a lot. Maybe trying to get back to the NFL?

The deal is, he may be the only one on the short list we could afford. The other names are much more well known, which might make them unobtainable.

Hadn’t heard of him but after looking him up this seems like a guy we should be looking at. Hampton U grad, spent time on NFL, Big 10 and SEC teams. Said to be good recruiter and developer of talent.

Ice only read a few blurbs so maybe i missed something, but how do y'all feel about his lack of coordinator or HC experience? He's been all over hell's half acre as an RB coach but that's as high as he's gone aside from ST, yes?

It would be an exotic hire.

Alabama calls him an "elite recruiter", and, except for the NFL, that seems to be his appeal within the college ranks

So should I start the Fire Charles Huff page now or would it be more polite to wait until he's hired?

With all due respect, you should let Razor start that thread. He will want to claim to be the first to say, " I told you so". It's only fitting to let him be the first.

RB coach at Mississippi state, coached at Alabama a&t, coached cornerbacks somewhere, coached special teams and something else at Penn State,etc

Its a concern but the coordinators are running each side of the ball and the HC is the “manager” of the team. If he hires the right people, recruits, and makes good in game decisions; thats probably fine.

Im waiting for a team to hire a stat nerd to tell the coach when to go for it on 4th, when to kick FGs, etc. lets do that!

Bobby has been quoted saying they hired an analytics company to help them make judgment calls. I've heard him say it after a game in 2016 and after the VT game in 2018.
