GCU lands another recruit. PG Chance McMillan out of Golden State Prep. Is the 3rd leading scorer on an AAU team with top 25 recruits Jalen Green and Ziaire Williams.

Sounds like Menzies is really making an impact. Maybe a coaching staff change was just what the doctor ordered. Now we need to focus on somehow retaining our recruits rather than recycling for a shiny new toy. Our issue has been development, in my opinion. Frayer and Lever are both struggling to turn the corner and show the potential of their skill set.

Judging from McMillan's highlight videos, it appears he has above average athleticism.

Let’s see if Menzies recruits pan out before we start praising what a great recruiter he is. Problem with Menzies like Majerle is they recruit decent but are horrible coaches.

Our height deficiencies even makes me miss Roberts Blumbergs.

He went pro in Latvia apparently. I wonder if he’d be eligible at a US college now? Funny how he wasn’t good enough for Dan and yet he’s getting paid to play elsewhere.

Also I’m pretty tired of Dan’s obsession with Lever. He’s always saying he’s their best player but he hasn’t shown that this year. Kinda demoralizes the other guys I bet.

Pretty good get from the looks of it. Says he’s 6’6” and 215. Athletic too. Coming from JUCO makes him eligible to play right away, correct? Assuming no academic issues?

Good for these guys on finding someone who will pay them to play basketball, but I came to the conclusion that the majority of overseas leagues must be trash the day that I heard Kerwin Smith signed a pro contract.

Don't know anything beyond what's in the article; however academic issues are unlikely since you have to really screw up bad to fail at a TX junior college. It's mainly about showing up and team athletes are usually better than average at that.

The stats aren't very impressive, but then again JC/HS school stats don't seem to predict performance at UTRGV.

Cal Baptist seems to be building in strength. They picked up a 4-star transfer from TCU... Russell Barlow, a 6'10, 235-lbs, sophomore center. Based off his stats, he was little used player this season. He has enrolled at CBU mid-year. So, there is a chance he will be eligible for WAC play this time next year.

Jans needs to get busy recruiting in the spring. Rick Croy looks like a legit good young coach... and Milan Acquaah should be back for another season.

it is crazy how much recruiting Seattle's Hayford is doing outside the US... Slovenia, England, Australia, Italy.
