Isn't this a tradition at this point in CUSA bball? At least one team that was awful in OOC roars through the conference schedule.

Usually true. Though I'm expecting, in the long run, the flex schedules will reduce that somewhat.

I've always thought of them off being at least decent. Looking at their year last year and it seems less than stellar. Guess I over reacted. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't like vcu but being from Richmond I at least respect them. Looking good against LSU. Gonna be a tough battle next month.

I did not realize that their entire staff all have ties to VCU, I thought it was just the head coach.

Head coach - associate HC at VCU
Associate HC - worked under Shaka
Assistant coach - worked under Shaka
Assistant coach - played for VCU (I'm sure you all remember Joey Rodriguez)
Assistant basketball ops - grad assistant for Shaka

Did you see the VCU fans who dressed up as FBI agents and passed out money to the LSU fans behind the bench? I hate VCU, but that was pretty funny.

Side note: there is zero chance the ODU administration would allow that to fly.

I've always thought ODU Admin is self-conscious and overly concerned about image. We are the poor cousins from the forgotten part of the state, we have have to act prim and proper. To bad it kills the kids energy. I'd love to see things loosen up. I used to blame much of this on Debbie White, and I may have been right,but it's alot deeper than that.
1. Cheerleaders used to do a kind of a naughty, slightly suggestive dance routine- gone
2. CHEERLEADERS USED TO LAY SIDE BY SIDE ON FLOOR And roll over and over, propelling Big blue down the line.
3.Pep band has no real identity, very generic, unlike Mason or VCU's
4. Reign on flag raising a joke.

I thought that was odd. Wade, like Shaka, did VCU a favor by giving them a game in Richmond after leaving VCU. I'd be surprised if they give them any more.

It's not a favor - they write it in to all their coaches contracts that they have to give a game with whatever school they go to.

I was shocked at how LSU handled the press in the first half. It was as if they had no idea VCU would press them. It's not like LSU simply mishandled the ball. They were never positioned in a way to succeed.
