Looks like Appalachian State leap frogged SMU to #25.

Looking at the teams ranked above us I'd say we are great company.

A 6-3 Kansas State team should not be ahead of SMU. Total bias BS.

I said this on the AAC section, what if Cinci/Memphis play a close game matchup in Late November on Friday? the AAC is a much better conference they should get the cotton reguardless if they have a 2 lose team

Will be interesting if both Memphis and Cincy win out other than each other and split. That would require Navy and SMU to each lose another game (the winner of their game would need to lose another) then have Cincy win in Memphis then Memphis win in Cincy. Memphis advances
If they win out and Memphis wins the regular season game and Cincy wins the title game Cincy advances.
Yes, I think a 2 win AAC champ in that scenario stays in front of Boise State
Any other 2 loss champ, be it Navy, SMU or Temple, I don’t think so if a Boise State is 12-1
Memphis goes 11-2 or even 10-3, the Liberty Bowl may be an option. SEC may not fill

Interesting up top in the rankings
Georgia ahead of Alabama means Georgia controls their playoff chances. They still play TXAM and Auburn, let alone likely LSU is they win those. Win out and they are in. Lose and they are likely out, below Alabama if they finish 11-1. Possible an 11-2 SEC title game losing Georgia would be ahead of 11-1 Bama, but regardless, a 12-1 PAC 12 champ Oregon I think would pass them both.

I was looking at this last night. In a scenario like this having 2 SEC teams in playoff would help a ton.

Gophers are undefeated and beat the #4 team last week and are only 8th.

I really don't understand their rationale for having Utah over Baylor too.
Committee just makes up sh*t as it goes.

Baylor has played a much weaker schedule than Utah, but that being said have OU and Texas in its next two games. So it will get sorted out either way

Who has Utah played? USC? Not ONE ranked opponent.

I looked back at it and stand corrected, Baylor definitely has had a tougher schedule. Although they have 5 games decided by 1 possession. Utah has 2, one of those being the loss to USC.

I really don't think the CFP committee puts a lot of effort into deciding anything but the top 4 teams. They probably give it to the 1-loss Boise team.

Well for starters Baylor wasn't even on the radar to start the year. They have had numerous games where the looked bad against not very good teams. Add all that to a non conf schedule of 2 CUSA teams and 1 FCS team and well there is your answer about Baylor.
Baylor has a chance to send a message this weekend.
