Still 79 teams projected eligible using the Sagarin Predictor, but a few teams have moved around since last week.

AAC 7, ACC 9 (up from 8), Big 12 7, Big Ten 9, C-USA 8, Indy 3, MAC 8, MWC 8, Pac 12 6 (down from 7), SEC 9 (up from 8), SBC 5 (down from 6).

RE: Bowl eligibility thread
Several things:

1). Hawaii and Army play thirteen games and thus have win seven to be bowl eligible. Hawaii needs one win, Army needs to win out. If either win 6, they will bowl before 5-7 teams if not enough schools go 6-6

2). 15 teams need to win out including our own Middle and UNT. Bowling Green and Kent State play an elimination game this week. 3 of the 15 teams are on bye including UNT.

3). 18 teams need one win to become eligible, including FIU and America’s team. Five of these teams are on bye this week including both CUSA scoops.

4). 53 teams are eligible including FAU, WKU, La Tech, USM, Marshall and UAB.

5). 19 teams are ineligible to bowl including ODU, UTEP and Rice.

RE: Bowl eligibility thread
Standings as of 11/11/19

ACC - 5 in, 8 in play, 1 eliminated
Big 10 - 8 in, 3 in play, 3 eliminated
Big 12 - 5 in, 5 in play, 0 eliminated
Pac 12 - 4 in, 8 in play, 0 eliminated
SEC - 6 in, 5 in play, 3 eliminated, Missouri bowl ban
AAC - 7 in, 2 in play, 4 eliminated
CUSA - 6 in, 5 in play, 3 eliminated
MAC - 3 in, 8 in play, 1 eliminated
MWC - 5 in, 5 in play, 2 eliminated
Sun Belt - 3 in, 6 in play, 1 eliminated
Indy - 1 in, 3 in play, 2 eliminated.

So by my best count there’s 53 teams now eligible for 78 spots with 57 teams still in play. A lot of those “in play” teams will be eliminated in the coming weeks. On the flip side there are 17 teams that are 1 win from bowl eligibility.

Teams with 6 wins but have restrictions:
Missouri - bowl ban
Hawaii - 13 games so needs 7 wins
Virginia Tech - 2 FCS wins so needs 7 wins
Liberty - 2 FCS wins so needs 7 wins

a few key games for CUSA and other G5s to try and get extra teams in:

Nebraska (4-5) host Wisconsin (7-2) -- NU finishes with Maryland and #18 Iowa
WVU (3-6) at #16 Kansas St (6-3)
South Carolina (4-6) at Texas A&M (6-3) --SC finishes with Clemson
UCLA (4-5) at #8 Utah - UCLA finishes with USC and Cal
Arizona (4-5) at #7 Oregon (8-1) - Arizona finishes with Utah and Arizona St

Army will have 2 FCS wins (Morgan St and VMI) so they should need 7 wins regardless

Good trolling Belk.

Marshall fan love to inject themselves into threads. Myopic right, Riley?

I’ve got no problem for your disdain with Charlotte fans , but to think Marshall fans are doesn’t earn the trolling your people get so bent out of shape for is idiotic.

After last nights Maction, Eastern Michigan played its way into win and in status, while Ohio downgraded to lose and done status setting up a potential “loser is done” game with Bowling Green in week 13 (if they can beat Miami tonight).

After the Thursday games, Miami became eligible while beating and eliminating Bowling Green (spoiling a loser goes home game with Ohio). Chapel hill lost which puts them into the must win category with Mercer and NCState left on the schedule.

NC State (4-5) finishes with Louisville, Georgia Tech and UNC so it appears possible that UNC (4-6) and NC St could be playing for bowl eligibility the final game of the season.

Bowl eligibility thread
So if I read this right, Rice (who eliminated MT with yesterday’s win) has another shot at elimination spoiler next week hosting UNT.

It can be like our little ‘bowl game’ 03-wink
