For his age, Precious has a well developed upper body, but also has what they called “body control “ in the old school nba.
I’ll say it:Precious reminds me of Dominique Wilkins.

As some have mentioned he will draw a lot of fouls.
He has a high motor and will get better at controlling his decisions as the season goes on.
Precious is a NBA talent, he isn't really auditioning, it will come to him in time with this group.
My favorite play was Boogies pass off the backboard to Precious. Unselfish play from a scoring guard.
Precious seems to be a good free throw shooter too. He's only shooting 68% in the 2 exhibition games and the SC State game. He was 10-12 vs. CBU. 3-8 against LO and 4 for 5 last night.

Yeah, I'm in that group. You actually get a scoop now and then from there, but if you think there's difficult personalities HERE...
And let's just say the writing capabilities there are an indication of failing education and leave it at that.

I'm not sure it was not a missed layup that PA just put back in. After all, it hit the rim after coming off the backboard.

Officially listed as a missed layup and offensive rebound by Precious but it looked like a pass to me.

RE: ***Official Memphis vs SC State Game Thread*** (11/5)
I don't expect us to shoot 90% from the free throw line every night, but dang, can you imagine if we're anywhere close to that on a consistent basis.
I believe it was one of the mid 80's teams, maybe even the 1985 squad, that averaged 75% on free throws for the season. You could see teams just get demoralized when we'd step up to the line and knock them down. That should be the case this year. We will destroy the smaller teams with numerous dunks and/or fouls, and when we get a few games under our belts and start playing better teams, I look for Wiseman to take his man outside. I don't see many who will be able to guard him away from the basket, and it will also free up space for our guys to drive the lane and either score or kick out to an open man for the 3. I suspect our 3 point percentage will go up as we get more experience, and for the season, we'll average closer to 40% than 30%.

Exactly. You have to let players play and do what they do best. He is an explosive athlete that can grab a rebound and push tempo. That is going to put an immense amount of pressure on opposing teams, especially on their bigs. Of course he is going to have some turnovers or a few bad shots while being aggressive but the good will far outweigh the bad.
Do some of you all really want him just hanging out around the 3 point line in a half court offense? What a waste of the guy's ability that would be.

What? He only took 8 shots and made 5 of them...
Boogie took 8 shots (2-8), Lester took 8 shots (4-8), Harris took 7 (1-7) and Wiseman took 14. Precious was not a black hole at all.
Based on his usage percentage 32% of possessions ended with the ball in Precious' hands
Only one that was higher was Wiseman @ 35%
The next highest was Tyler @ 21%
And he is our second best offensive option behind Wiseman. I would expect most games to play out pretty similarly with them being our two highest use percentages. I am imagine we will have a few games where Boogie or Tyler catch fire and have a higher usage but by in large Wiseman and Precious should be one and two throughout the year, especially if they are shooting anywhere near as high of percentages as they did last night.

I've always wondered what Eliot Perry's FT percentage was in the last 2 minutes of games. Dang near 100%.

That was fun to watch. This team has some major firepower that we haven’t seen in a while.
With a little over 7:30 left in the 1st half SC State was up 1. We hit several threes and tightened up on defense and just like that we were up by 18 at the half.
It will be interesting to see if we can do that sort of thing against good teams.

It seems like all young teams and players have to learn the hard way that they cannot just roll the ball out and win at the college level. I thought our guys looked a little shocked the first 5 minutes that SC State was playing at a high level. But once the young guys turned it on they absolutely ran them out of the gym and made it look pretty effortless.

Totally different vibe with this team, and it's awesome to see. Making free throws, easy buckets, crazy good athleticism. So much to like about so many players. WOW! I hate to single out any players, because everyone will be important. I just hope they're able to stick together and play for the common goal, and not let individual numbers get in the way. If the Tigers do that, this team is going to be really, really dangerous.

If our bigs can hit free throws at 75-80% all year, we are gonna be in for a fun ride.

It really wasn't precious fault. Boogie didnt put it high enough off the backboard so it caught the rim on the way down. Which caused precious to miss time his jump.
