Let’s hope these guys stick around and actually sign. I’d love for our new coach to have some young talent to work with and get the ship turned quickly.

I HOPE that we already have some good ones on the roster, as it is almost unheard of that an OLineman can walk on to the field as a true freshman and make a legitimate contribution.
Ideally it takes at least a season of strength and conditioning and college level technique development to even get to the point of playing sparingly enough to learn the system.

We have a lot of youth along the OL. I think we will see Kounta at LT and Saldiveri at RT for the next 3 years and both will continue to get better. Kounta might be a future NFL pick.
There are some young guys with talent..... that need to be developed. The only senior OL is Barnett.
I would guess the only new starters on the OL next year are the 2 guards and both of the future starters are already on the roster. The line just needs some time to develop.

We better be recruiting the hell out of some O-lineman right now or this nice small class is going to be a waste.

Currently 16 of our OL are underclassmen and 5 are upperclassmen. We have a lot of youth on the team. There has to be some talent there.

I would not expect many. They like the young talent at OL and are already overloaded at the position.
We need to stock up on WRs, RBs, and safeties.

It is not how many offensive linemen you have that counts. It is how many that can play competitively. We can't keep saying one or two offensive linemen are hurt so we lost the game. We need some linemen that can move the other team around and fall back into quarterback protection. If Wolff is going to have a chance next year. For wide receivers we have. Kumah, Williams and Fitzgerald returning and who know what else. Three or four good wide receivers should do the trick.

I really like Fitzgerald and I've been peppering people in the know with questions about him. But, he's got 5 catches on the year; I would hesitate to go in thinking he's a good WR. Williams is certainly not a good WR at this point in his career. Kumah is good. We need guys that can make big plays though. I don't know if Mayo will ever be back, but that would be good addition. IMO, we went too hard on big, physical WRs, we need a couple that can create separation.
At RB, we are really light though I've been impressed with quasi RB Watson. We lose Strong and have almost nothing behind LaLa.
At OL, we have 4 guys with significant starting experience coming back...Weaver, Saldiveri, Lawson, Kounta. 2 of them are freshman pressed into action. They have experienced backups that have seen action in Carvantes, Fagan, Muller, and Smith. They have a couple freshman that they really like and I'm not sure if they played Saturday, but they were planning on playing on Saturday. Everyone always wants to blame the OL, they aren't great, but they are better than people make it out to be. And they have upside as the OL is extremely young.
We will not see a ton of new OL next year (barring a mass exodus from a coaching change). I think we are going to see a completely revamped WR and RB core.

RE: Football Recruiting: 2020
Let me put this another way. Clarke came in here as a freshman and I believe he played in every game his 4 years. We need a few linemen like this and I don't mean the type we might develop and one or two got hurt and the rest of the guys can fill in and get the job done. I think we will have receivers we can develop and probably one good one that will come in a contribute. WE need line protection and run blocking.

That is basically what Weaver, Kounta, Saldiveri, and Lawson have done (Lawson hasn't played every game). Except, they are in the early stage of likely playing a full 4 years here. (Lawson might be replaced with someone).
