Well, Last night was predictable. In all honesty, they just lost to a better team. I would really like to see some wholesale changes. Cashman has proven that he knows how to construct rosters to win regular season games, playoff games? Notsomuch!

My brain says Houston in 5 or 6, but I'd love to see the Nats win it all without Harper. That guy is such an douche canoe. It would make my heart happy if the year he left they win the whole deal.

The Nats were smart to both let him walk, and spend the money on Corbin. Hoping Brian Cashman is reading......

Completely agree. Harper and his flair for being a drama queen were definitely not worth the money. I'd rather have 4-5 other lesser known talents for all that money that have more drive and better attitudes. Look at what the Rays and A's both did this past season. Remarkable, and a product that IMO is more fun to watch. I have a soft spot for "hustle" lesser known players though.

The only thing with the A's model, is it's really proven for getting to the playoffs but hasn't had much success after getting there.

I agree. I think that a WS winning team needs at least a combo of 2-3 star caliber players and then piece the rest together with hustle guys and up and coming talent. That was the Cubs model in 2016.

Cole showed he's human last night, nice win by the Nats. Still sticking with my pick though as i remember the Yankees won game 1 too

Shocked, as is most of the world i think with the first two game results! That pen of Houston's which had been shaky most of the year, but pitched great the first two rounds is imploding!
Congrats to the Nats! Was a hell of a run. Something we will never see again in our lives, all 7 games won by the road team! Went into this series indifferent but every time i saw that smug A-hole Correa showboat, it pulled me harder towards the Nats!
How's Harper feeling this morning?

He's probably sitting at home like, "That's a clown World Series bro." and flipping his diva hair around.
Wilpon's selling the Mets, i know 08 must be excited. Too bad it's not happening quick enough to be able to pair spending money with the bright young pitching you have.
