FOX just shamelessly tried to promote Wisky/Ohio State as the biggest game of the week, #6 vs #4.

In reality it is now #13 vs #4, clearly behind Auburn/LSU, which is #2 vs #9.

In any event, they were in Baton Rouge two weeks ago, so might as well make this the FCS week

Karnak says...Fox, CBS, NBC.
Opens envelope
"What are the networks carrying Wisconsin/Ohio St, Auburn/LSU, and Notre Dame/Michigan"

I'll edit this post in a minute with whether I'm right.

EDIT: Yes, Yes, and....No. Notre Dame @ MIchigan on ABC.

Fox lying about something? I'm SHOCKED they would stoop to that....

That’s awesome. Introduces casuals to new levels of football and unique locations. Should’ve been Tommies & Johnnies this week - got to do that game next year.

Well of course they will talk alot about the big national games, that is what viewers want. But they also do a great job of hyping the local FCS host and traditions.

Hope they go to MetLife in a few weeks for the Cortaca Jug. With both teams ranked (for now), it might be for a playoff bid.

Wisconsin just lost, and they probably want to do PSU/OSU.

LSU was just on, and they'll probably do LSU/Bama.

Michigan just lost, too.

These 6 schools get Gameday/national press plenty, what harm is it to showcase a rivalry that not as many people may know about? Those 3 games are still gonna be on national TV, it's not like that changes just because they're not on Gameday.

Gameday’s really good at making sure other levels aren’t forgotten too. Desmond Howard, in particular, likes to mention those games often.

Speaking as a person who is somewhat fond of Midmajor teams located in the Midwest... 02-13-banana

#1 vs. #3 in the 110th "Boundary Marker Game" (winner gets one of the original granite markers that divided North Dakota from South Dakota). NDSU has a 28 game win streak since last falling to SDSU in 2017. SDSU will get to show off their beautiful new (2016) stadium, one of the nicest in the FCS. It will be a 3 hour advertisement for SDSU and the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

You can check out sdsufans.com and bisonville.com to listen in on the fans and they get ready for the game.

I think it's a great idea that they occasionally take Gameday to an FCS location, and given the national games this week, and the appeal of NDSU/SDSU, I think this is a great idea.

so looking- shame the Colts aren't off/play on Thursday this week- Adam Vinatieri is a SDSU alum and would have made a great guest picker for them..... Not sure who ESPN will get.. Maybe Tom Daschle?

there are better games this week- but repeats. Michigan/ND, LSU/Auburn, Ohio St/Wisconsin.

next week is the week with the putrid schedule. Which is why Gameday probably makes it 2 weeks in a row to a non p5 setting when they probably go to Memphis.

Yes, we all realize the flaws in those games - Michigan and Wisconsin just lost, and Gameday was in Baton Rouge just two weeks ago.

So ... good time for the FCS trip.

RE: Gameday Location
The winner has a great chance at the Number 1 playoff seed. A win could be enough for SDSU to jump over Number 2 James Madison. James Madison has three home games against 4-3 or 3-4 teams and a trip to 1-6 Rhode Island, so winning out may not be enough to impress people. Last year James Madison's seed was worse than their polls, so they can't be confident in getting the 1 seed even if they are Number 1 in the polls. They're undefeated vs. FCS with a 20-13 loss at West Virginia. SDSU is similar, as they're undefeated vs. FCS with a 28-21 loss at Minnesota.

Too bad Penn State-Minnesota isn't this or the following weekend. They've never been to Minnesota but highly unlikely they'll pass on LSU-Alabama.
