While App Fights for a New Years' Six Berth.....
The rest of the league fights for a division title (West) or Bowl Eligibility.

These are just my thoughts based on what I've seen.

APP (6-0, 3-0)
Wins: Four definite, six possible
Losses: None certain
Swing Games: at South Carolina, at Georgia State

The "neers have it all in front of them. The game in Atlanta is the only possible loss in the league and frankly, I don't think it's gonna happen.

GEORGIA STATE (5-2, 2-1)
Wins: One definite, Four possible
Losses: None definite
Swing Games: Troy, App, at ULM, at Georgia Southern

Well, all they need is one. I'm going to project Seven or eight wins

GEORGIA SOUTHERN (3-3, 1-1)
Wins: One definite, three possible
Losses: App State
Swing Games: at Troy, ULM, @Arkansas State, Georgia State

I've seen nothing out of the Georgia Southern offense that would suggest they're going to get to six wins. They'll be underdogs in at least three of the swing games. I'm going with five wins, tops.

TROY 3-3, 1-1
Wins: Two definite, Five possible
Losses: App
Swing: at Georgia State, Georgia Southern, at UL

I think Troy will be at least 6-6

COASTAL CAROLINA 3-4, 0-3
Wins: None Certain, two possible
Losses: Three likely
Swing: at ULM, Louisiana

They get the Cajuns on a short week. But I don't see a way they get to six wins.

LOUISIANA 5-2, 2-1
Wins: Two definite, five possible
Losses: None definite
Swing: at Coastal, Troy, ULM

The Cajuns will probably be favored in the rest of their games. But that game at Coastal comes on a short week, Troy gives the Cajuns fits and ULM is ULM. Its hard to see them winning fewer than nine, but you never know.

ULM 3-4, 2-1
Wins: One definite, five possible
Losses: None
Swing: Arkansas State, Georgia State, at Georgia Southern, at Louisiana

The Warhawks offense is going to keep them in the rest of their games. Their defense puts them in peril the rest of the way. They'll have to pull an upset to get to six. I'm saying 5-7.

ARKANSAS STATE 3-4, 1-2
Wins: Three probable
Losses: None
Swing: Georgia Southern, at ULM

Despite their plethora of injuries, the Red Wolves are going bowling, I think. They'll be favored in at least four of their remaining games. Perhaps a 13th game will take the sting out of a tragic season.

TEXAS STATE (2-4, 1-1)
WINS: One definite, three possible
Losses: At Arkansas State,at Louisiana, at App State
Swing: Troy, at Coastal

I don't see six wins here. Those three road games are going to be really tough, even with a solid defense

SOUTH ALABAMA 1-6, 0-3
Wins: None
Losses: All of them

Sorry, South.

I'm going with App, Ga. St, Louisiana, Troy and Arkansas State as bowl eligible teams.

I think:
App finishes 11-1 (I am hoping for 12-0 but I am worried that you will drop the game to USC in Columbia playing the Gamecocks AND the refs)
UL finishes 10-2
Georgia State finishes 9-3 (provided the QB and O-line stay healthy)
stAte finishes 8-4 / 7-5
Ga So / ULM / Troy all fight for 6-6 and the last bowl slot

I'm confused, are you saying Coastal is a sure win for us? If so I disagree

Hey Mountaineers, Please don't Hate, as I did go to App St. my freshman year in 04.

If AAC doesn't get it, I hope you guys get the NY6. Good Luck,

I would like to officially apologize to the league for our performance this season. I would like to add though, we did beat out FCS opponent therefore preserving an undefeated season as a conference. 04-cheers

Got to find a silver lining in there somewhere. Would also like to point out that we helped GaSo get healthy and get them going towards bowl eligibility for this season. 04-cheers

I thought during OT that the Coastal/GaSo loser would be all-but eliminated from bowl contention.

While I think GaSo and stAte will get to six, the interesting test case is 3-3 Troy. Four of their last six on the road including at UL and GSU, the two home games are GaSo and App. Could end up somewhere between 8-4 and 4-8.

I never put a game vs. GS in the win column until the games over. So many times the better team has lost this game it’s unbelievable.

God. The thought of stAte in a bowl game terrifies me. We can’t win when we are healthy much less now. But perhaps the next few games will brighten my disposition.

If we end up 7-5 or 8-4 we should go. At 6-6 we should stay home.

There's definitely some truth to this. I mean, after beating Army, I'll admit I'm starting to believe, but...

I 100% agree.

However, App State would have to have an epic fail to lose to Ga Southern this year. But it sure as hell could happen. Last year we had an epic fail - and Ga Southern was apparently much better last year than this year.

As good as we are this year - our offense are almost all Jr's. So we should field a ton of seniors next year - and be even better next year. Last years 11-2 team was the sophomore class.

Same for the Cajuns. Sort of, our big name players are juniors, but the bulk of the team is sophomores.

I think TXST gets to 4 and maybe 5 wins. CCU and USA would be the wins (could easily lose too but I'm biased). And could get one from stAte, APP, or UL. Almost beat App last year, haven't beaten a better stAte team before, and won't beat UL cause they never do.

Really? It was 38-7, and 28-0 at one point.

I think you are thinking about our 20-13 win in 2017 as we won 38-7 last year.
