Monday Musings
EMU with the under the lights win over the broncos of WMU. Cant some students come up with a I 94 or Amtrak trophy or something? You would think the participation trophy generation would come up with more traveling trophies.
Heard the experience was an awesome one at night.
The MAC West standings is upside down and my previous prediction of Hoke to Ball State looks dumb, unless Mike Neu ends up at Rutgers then here comes the Hoke Train to Muncie.
Basketball is coming soon and a new roster maybe will give us some new vibes and always some optimism here.
We go down to Toledo (us-23 highway sign for a trophy anyone?) and I am sure the #ohiorefs will treat us very well and some nonsense will happen to keep rocket power or victorious.
On our way to the quicklane lube bowl???? GO eagles.

And which generation made all the participation trophies to give out to their kids?

This was our third game but first under the lights.

The 2nd game was homecoming and that is an afternoon game.

I wonder why the CCSU game wasn't an evening game? Both ends of the stadium looked really, really good on television Saturday night.

I like night games in Michigan until mid-October. After that weather can be chilly.

Everything I read indicates that EMU is doing a real nice job on the Game Day atmosphere (and winning in the last minute is super sweet).

RE: Monday Musings
These are interesting highlights I guess mostly to bettors or EMU fans....

Teams in the two game highlights are Ga Southern, Coastal Carolina and EMU. One can say the WMU defense only made a cameo appearance.

The Prez and his wife were cruising the parking lot and engaging folks, a nice gesture for sure in support of the athletics program. Perhaps he noticed how many folks are simply tailgating and not attending the game. A businessman might wonder if we should tinker with charging for parking and lower the actual ticket prices, but that is just me. In any case, the game day experience has been vastly improved as you have astutely pointed out.

Like you I think the CSSU should have been a night game. Most likely, however, that was dictated by the power that dictates such things, TELEVISION! I am with you, from here on out in the Midwest we have no business playing football after the sun goes down. Yet we have two Tuesday Night away (thank God) games in November thanks to a MAC TV contract with ESPN. It is what it is.

Talking about CCSU, this is the ESPN video from Sexton big game winner and the marriage proposal too.

Also FYI, CCSU is undefeated in FCS games and ranked #24.They'll likely be a playoff team.
