Why not run it the entire game and outdare their offense to outscore us?

I agree we should go more tempo. The 2 minute offense looked good because they had 2 safeties playing super deep in prevent. That being said, I think we should go more tempo and work in what I think is a deep RB and WR core.

If we want to have any chance to upset W Mich, 3 things have to happen! Grissom needs 10 touches, Grissom had TWENTY TWO D1 offers out of high school, many big schools, but for some reason he doesn't get the ball, 2 Karmi Mackey needs to be the starter, ONE carry last week, and last we need to send the house to put pressure on their QB! If this doesn't happen we lose 42-24!!!!!!! W Mich is explosive at their skill positions...…...Can Creighton change his approach is the question...…..6th year here...…..

Yep. I think you answered the proverbial question:

Why don't teams run the 2-minute offense all game long. Easy money. Rack up yards and 1st downs easily.

Simply, much depends on the DEFENSE, not the team with the ball.

WE Just need to make some more plays. Plain and simple.

There are a few things I'm sure of that will not change about this team this year.

1. We cannot stop the run when we need to.
2. We cannot run the ball consistently with our RBs.

We need to get better with these two things or we continue a losing streak -- which seems to be the weakness of CC and co. A complete football team.

But, I HATE THE BRONCOS. So...

LFG.

Why do you hate us?

Genyk’s offenses weren’t the problem.

You won’t get up tempo with this coaching staff, except as a last resort.

Correct but they were effective. Glass might be even better with a Genyk offensive scheme.

^^^^^^^^

Gonna have to win the turnover battle by at least 2 to win this game. Glass will also have to be excellent, and KEEP the ball on some zone read runs to keep the defense off balance.

2 minute offenses all the time puts a lot of stress on your own defense when you go three and out a few times.

Why does Mackey need to be the starter? Are you reading press clippings and he has the best?????

He hasn't been on the field and shown that he is better than the others.

Pay attention if Mackey gets a chance to his instant burst through the line, and his physical style of running......No one else brings that period! John Branham does, but he's being redshirted! Yet, he continues to run a group that averages less then 2 yds a carry! I'm starting to question Creighton's decision making skills as well! I'm hoping we compete this Saturday night!!!!!! W Mich is way more talented then C Mich, or Ball St by a wide margin...….If we're up by 3 points, and it's 4th and 2 at the 45, he punts the ball every time, and he will not try a long FG either......He plays to be close in the 4th quarter...….

Shocked that the Freep doesn't know the Michigan MAC trophy rules (sarcasm). WMU keeps the trophy regardless of the outcome this Saturday because the previous winner keeps the trophy in a 3 way tie.

Actually I am a bit surprised he missed that. David Goricki has been solid in covering the MAC for years.

Goricki is a WMU alumnus so that may explain his occasional error. Amazing that he's done so well considering his second-rate education.

Chill out Broncos. I'm messing with you.

Dear WoodenNickle,
The point that Western fans are surprised about the omission of a very minor point, is in itself surprising. One could not ask for a better arcticle about Western's football team. Most schools in the MAC would be happy with what Mr. Goricki wrote.

The defense doesn't have to be perfect just make the other team eat the clock ie bend but don't break
